You mean switching out the current M16 Model on all the servers excluding vanilla to the default one as seen by default on almost any other TTT server? I'd love that. So much. The only other decision would have to be: default M16 stats, or M9K M16 stats? Personally, I think it'd only fit the default one. +1
Well, think about it like this then Lone Wolf. A random player joins STTT, curiosity piqued as they read the title and join the servers. He/she witnesses the majestic M9K weapons among the server's player base and decides to keep their stay among the community. They play for awhile, hopefully without a problem. Then, they pick up the M16. They notice its difference to the Vanilla one and tries to use it for mid-range sniping purposes only to find...the scope doesn't work. It's an eye-sore that obstructs the vision in the most annoying manner. They then decide to question the players on at the time only to get many people caught in dismay wondering the same thing. Why doesn't the scope work?! It's a useless gun with a useless feature model wise! Now, that may be a bit elaborate...but I find many new people that had seen an M16 would always be a bit disappointed to find out the scope doesn't work. Don't you dare say "Oh, turn on the Lower Weapon thing in the F1 menu to fix it! C:" because that does jack diddly squat towards what they may want instead.
It's fine how it is. You can search the forums for the threads about replacing the vanilla M16 with the current, non-vanilla, version.
+1. Yes, it's not a big deal, but it shouldn't take long to edit, correct? It's just annoying. ACOG scope that has no acog, but iron sights.
The problem I have with the current model is that the scope has no function and is there just to be there.. I wouldn't actually mind if the scope actually worked inside of being a fake. I remember when I first started playing on these servers that when I first used the M16 it really threw me off.
The ACOG sight on the weapon can be used. When you play, make sure you go to settings woth F1 and ensure that the option to lower sights when aiming is unchecked.
What really throws me off about the m16 in non vanilla is that there is a scope, a cool red dot one, but it is not used. Can we at least modify it such that the scope is used?
The problem with that is that it severely limits your vision as to whom/what you're aiming at. It IS a red dot sight, but any of the times I've tried using it in that fashion it's much too big of a dot to even be practical on being at the least semi-accurate.
I hate the massive ass red dot when i'm trying to aim, maybe removing the sight and replacing it with ironsights would be better? +1 i guess
TBF i would like to be able to use one without the scope. I cant use the m16 due to that fat ass scope blocking half of my screen.
