Why you should be unbanned:

I was banned for harassment (report on the forums filed by Cake Kay {forum name}) for 8 days globally. Really the only argument I need is the picture attached below but I'm certain that Event Horizon (the admin who posted on the report) already knows, or at least I hope he knows, the procedure that one takes under the server rules for harassment so I'll expand more.

Cake Kay starts out the report by saying:
"Every time he has been on he has been making rude comments and harrasing other players. By calling them "retarted" everytime someone kills him."

I think her word choice is, at best, an exaggeration. I play quite a bit on the East and East 2 servers so I find it hard to believe she is on "every time" I am playing. I will admit many games that I am in she is also playing, but no more than 50% of the time. On to the next section of the sentence stating that I make rude or/and harassing comments to other players. I make sure that my words are not out of line based on what the opposing party has said previously (either to me or another player.) So out of context, sure, I make rude comments to other players. The instance Cake Kay is no doubt referring to is when Beefcakes was trapped in one of the cells on 67th way and was yelling profanities at me to let him out. Then he called a KOS on me when Sinz killed a detective and in turn, I killed Sinz. That is where the pictures on her report show me making rude comments to Beefcakes. Lastly, her comment about me calling someone retarded every time someone kills me is just a straight up lie. I very rarely ever trade words with another player after they kill me. And calling them a "retard" (or a retart in her description) makes no sense once so ever.

I find it a little annoying that Event didn't bother tagging me in the post so I could say my side of the story, but hey, if I only had the screens to go off of I'd ban myself as well. Unfortunately, as I've explained above, most of her screens were out of context. Her description also was shoddy to say the least.

It is also important to note the relationship Cake Kay and I have. She has RDM'ed me (and been dealt with) on multiple occasions. Her wanting to get me banned is by no means a surprise to me.​

Oh I didn't even see that, thanks for the heads up. Another thing is it wasn't like a Mod wasn't in the game or something. Mentioned earlier Sinz was in the game at the time, clearly the rude comments weren't at the very least unwarranted. Lack of consistency between Admins/Mods can cause problems to be worse than they are.

 

The 3rd offense is in response to the fact that you have 2 prior harassment bans. Because I have discretion with the rules, I felt that a 1 week ban was necessary instead of a 1 or 5 day ban. You were making rude remarks at her last night while i was on with you. Also I would like to note that the 2 times she did RDM you, the first one was when she slipped on a ladder and did a whopping 7 damage to you (which, admittedly, ended up killing you) and the second time was when she hit you with a crowbar by accident (you two were messing with props). She never RDMs on purpose, at least from what I've seen.

As for your actual harassment, obviously players were offended by what you said, regardless of whether you thought it to be or not. Maybe this week off will give you time to think about the way you treat other players on the server. There's a difference between friendly trash talk and actually raging/harassing someone.

Not at all, my only experiences with this player have been negative ones; constant harassment to other players, and on more than one occasion. Also, I'm not 100% sure, but I am pretty sure one of his previous Harassment bans were issued by me.

 

I do not believe this verdict was bias, I can attest to @BJbenny's excessive harassment and I am glad justice could be properly served. If you would take a look at this similar appeal you can see the rage and down right anger he expresses while on our servers. This ban is completely justified and I hope you, BJbenny can take this as a lesson learned.

 

Doesn't look like bias to me. I've also had many experiences with constant harassment from this player. Valid ban.

 

Looks like all of us have had a taste of this player's cheery personality. I think he could use the time off.
