Get rid of Mystic (vanilla server)

    Alright, I understand that we need to get as many maps as possible; we have few enough as it is, and it gets boring playing on three maps over and over. But Mystic is bad enough, in my opinion, to be removed all the same. I haven't heard even one person say they like it, and have heard plenty of complaints about it. The poison water button often leads to over a third of the members dying, and innos can push it. Getting around the map is difficult at best, and over and over people keep confusing the secret room with a T room, and RDM runs rampant. All in all, I think this server would be better off investing the time to find a more worthwhile vanilla map.

    It's a decent map, but the poison water ruins it.

    If we're going to keep this, I definitely have to set it up to where the traitors get credit for any water kills. Currently most traitors press the button without warning, which results in their t-buddies untimely death. Considering the activator isn't given credit, there's no logs to trace down who pressed it and etc.

    It'd be great if the people voting no could say why; I'm only seeing confirmations of what I already knew.

    I like the map, except for the poison water. I don't think it should be removed for one simple reason though.

    Is there a way to make it so that only Ts can access the room with the poison button, or changing the rules so that innocents cannot? If the map is not removed, I think that at least should happen.

    Well, if an innocent pushes it, then they would be responsible for every death caused by the water.

    @MangoTango Yes that is, but the logs don't show who pushed it, so they won't be slayed/banned unless a moderator sees who pushed it.

    bump... Whenever this map is on, the server sometimes breaks. Many players agree that this map sucks.

    Only traitors can use the poison water. If an inno tries to use it, they die. Also, it costs a credit to use the poison water. All kills via poison water go to the activator. IMO, it's a pretty good map. We could use some more maps though. Still wondering why the minecraft cave/mineshaft map was taken out. =/

    I'd actually Prefer to keep mystic, after all the work Books and Highwon did to remake it; it's got very few problems, now.

    Mythic is fine, much better than the other candidates (map wise) that we don't already have in my opinion.

    The only thing that still bothers me is that it seems as if whenever vanilla changes to that map it "breaks"
    What I mean by this is that the rounds don't start, there has been an instance when pre-round literally took 5 and a half minutes, pre-round doesn't even show up it just goes straight into the normal round.
    While mystic may be "fine" it still has its problems that need to be fixed.

    In the future, please take a screenshot of console for any error logs or the like. I say this because, I've seen it happen on various other maps, but never Mythic. (This even when we first tried the last revision out, and Vanilla sat through the same map for three map changes.) Not to say this has never happened to you TeeZ, no. But there is literally nothing a map can do that would effect how TTT acts. In-fact, the most we can control TTT at all is adding/removing credits, checking what role they are, and placing t-buttons and weapons where we want. That's essentially it. There's nothing experimental that one map would have and another wouldn't to cause this pre-round behavior, nothing in the map anyways. Which is why it is most likely a script error, which we need to pin-point and execute in my opinion.

    I understand you saying to take a screenshot, however, there is nothing that pop-ups in the console. If you ask regular players of vanilla, they will also say that Mythic seems to be the source of these re-occurring issues. I have never experienced bugs like the ones I've described on other maps besides Mythic. I don't know if it's just a coincidence or its something within the map itself that is causing it, however, it does seem as if it is the maps doing itself.

    I also completely understand where you're coming from, but there's nothing inside of a map that just, does that. Outside of TTT entities, there's nothing experimental, nothing anything. After that map compiles, all that's left is a bunch of func_detail's (Which are the same as world brushes, except they aren't calculated in VVIS.), a physboxes and a fun_breakable for the bridge. People have made entire maps just out of just these, if you'd like to see. Source is very stable when it comes to properly compiled maps, and there isn't a compile or run-time error in this one.
