The rules say that we cannot kos off of t traps, and i'd agree, but, if you and 1 player are the only ones around the t trap ( ones that have the radius of the button) we should be able to kill for that - common sense, nobody but yourself and 1 other player are around, a t trap suddenly activates once they face said t trap. - this rule would only stay in effect if you are completely sure that nobody is around/ the player done it.

But you can't because the radius for T traps is insane. You can be one side of the map and activate some. Other might not be in plain view. This is just bad.

Certain traps are small, for example, the door lock in 67th way, or the pitfall trap in Community Bowling

Door lock can be activated from another room, pitfall can be activated from the bowling alley its self.

Not for me, i have to be extremely close to the trap to use it, unless it's a traitor door.

No, no, no and please, more no. This just opens up a whole gateway of problems and is completely unnecessary. Even without all of the issues that come with it, -literely- the only "positive" to this is allowing people to be even more trigger happy; cause even more RDM.

Because yes, you are correct.. There are a couple traps that have a small radius. But by default in the FGD in Hammer, the radius is well over a thousand units. Which is a quarter of the size of most maps, if not half. Considering 95% of all TTT map makers don't bother to register damage ownership logs with traps, they're not going to bother editing that value unless they really feel the need to. In some cases, making it even bigger. An' we don't make rules on "some cases", because our rules apply to all cases.
