I don't understand.. how is this going to be fun (kind of a sensitive topic). I'll just play the devil's advocate and say that I think segregation should be reinstated. But does anyone on this forum even think that? how is this even debatable?
I think your confused maybe because this post is out of context. We had a discussion that we would choose random topics (even un-debatable ones) and do our best to debate each other for the sake of it.
Alrighty first off, to all who read any of this: This is simply for fun between myself and Chile Bean, we both enjoy debating topics that force one to think. If you find what we are debating offensive or immoral then DO NOT READ THIS DISCUSSION! I will be taking the point of view of someone that believes that the African Americans of America (redundant I know) do not deserve to have equal rights compared to the other races. YES this might seem racist but it is all in the name of debating. DISCRETION IS ADVISED! Another note this is only a discussion between myself and Chili, I would appreciate that no one else put their point of view in here, I apologies but, as I've stated before, this is between us. Thank-you Alright, Chili since you are the defendant I have the rights to go first ^.^ I will respond to this at my earliest convenience.

Yeah if you don't want people interjecting or joining in the debate.. why can you guys just do this over steam messages or through the forum messaging system? i LOVE debating though (most people already know), so i'd love to join in on something like this.

I understand Mango the need for a level of professionalism, and I'm not saying this to be cocky but I more then meet that level. I fully understand that some people might be offended by the topic that we discuss but never the less it is an actual topic discussed today and I wouldn't mind to see Chilies take on it, possibly Rebels now as well. For everyone's sake it will be moved to a private discussion.
Kynwall gave a warning that nobody had to read it if they found civil rights a touchy topic. I would personally enjoy seeing said debate, as I love debating controversial topics. Anyways, being a moderator doesn't mean you need to appeal to everyone's opinion. He's still a person, and has his own opinion on things, and is able to speak of said opinion as any normal player is. By the way, that was with all the respect I could possibly give.
I just want to start by saying a disclaimer at the beginning of a post will not make a post okay. That would be the same as me making a post that has pornographic images and making a disclaimer on it. Secondly, I understand that he is an individual, but if he wants to represent himself as an individual, he shouldn't be using his server alias or title. He could have simply posted that himself and chile were having a debate for fun and if anyone cared to join in, they could via PM or some other third party communications. It's not that I don't understand that players are individuals, but a staff member shouldn't be posting things that could divide a community and reflect poorly on STTT.
