The double barrel is BEYOND overpowered, there is not a single gun in the game that can beat it. The double barrel is a long ranged one hit kill weapon, with the only way to not die by it is the luck of Hitbox error. The Double barrel ( DB) takes no skill to use and is unfair. The DB should be removed permanently and many players agree. In addition, people just camp corners and wait for others to pass by, then get one-hit
Even so, its unbeatable, it is way overpowered, and in the logs , it even says "500 damage" kinda op dont you think? people camp with it as well, which gives the opposing player no chance
The DB shotgun is currently unavailable in loadouts, has an increased price in the pointshop(where it will soon be removed once Highwon has the chance), and it is also available as a random spawn on maps.
I saw that after the end of the anniversary it was to be phased out perm. however its still there and yeah, if ur a inno and a T has one, you have no chance cus they will always get the first shot. so +1
It wasn't going to be "phased out perm" but just made limited. This makes it unavailable in loadouts, the point shop, and only found throughout the map.
(Edit: I decided to redo this post) To solve this we can either have one or 2 solutions A. Nerf the Double Barrel B. Keep the Double Barrel the same and BUFF every other Primary. C. Both.
The db cant be nerfed, and buffing up every other primary would make the Ak-47 , Honeybadger, and a few other guns too op. Even with that, the db still 1 hits. This suggestion has already been solved by shadowdragoon66 and stormcreator.
Its better then just having one gun that outshines the others. Plus the other weapons need these buffs.
Don't think there was a reason making this it's been suggested millions of times and Highwon has already said what was happening to the Double Barrel.
Why would you buff the other weapons? Some of them need it but most of them are fine. If a weapon is op it is not smart to buff all the other ones or this would be a HORRIBLE server. The only choice is to remove it.
Ok there are way too many suggestions about this specific topic. Highwon said he is working on eliminating the DB because of the overpoweredness. Just wait and it will be gone eventually. If you have such a big problem with the DB then when you see one just throw it away or hide it.
its perfect, its 1 shot, that means its perfect for getting people on their own, and if you are walking around on ur own u deserve to die.
Please before making a suggestion, look if it has been suggested before. This topic has been discussed MANY times and this will end the same as the other ones. The DB is being removed from both the Pointshop and loadouts to reduce the availability of it. @Highwon said this many times. BUT it'll still be available via map spawns.
Sorry La vie your wrong. The Double barrel is removed from Loadout, but not pointshops. Instead the amount of double barrel required is double now, cost more to buy, so spend wisely.
