This map was removed a while ago for whatever reason it was, but it was a gen

Vessel was removed? Never really noticed. I can understand it being removed though. Ignoring the fact that we always had 1 person a day that wanted to spam the horn, I would not want to imagine the load times for new players if we kept every map in the rotation. Highwon looks at a lot of different factors before decided which map should be replaced by any new maps that get added to the rotation. Popularity, map features and how they are used, and average length of time it takes to complete a round are among various things that are looked at with any map.

 

+1, though I have a feeling if it was readded @Books would have to fix the smoke stack so it didn't kill you for walking right past it in certain times.

 

Personally, I would rather see roy_the_ship implemented> vessel, but vessel was a good map, hopefully the horn isnt a problem.

 

Yes, this and the horn. People spamming the horn was a primary reason of it being removed.

I'll add it to the mapping to-do list, if @Highwon will confirm that he will add it if and when fixed.

 

Can't they just simply remove the horn? It would be VERY simple to do, right? Plus, what's the point of the horn again? Haven't been on vessel for a long time.

 

It's just a neat feature the map creator wanted to put in most likely.

 

Well unless this "horn" is vital to the map, I bet a guy who didn't know what a computer WAS could remove it… okay not really but it should be pretty easy to do

 

The horn is actually really easy to remove. I'm a map for source games but the thing is i can't remove unless the map creator releases the .vmf for the map

 

Oh, I didn't know he didn't release the map for editing.

 

Maybe try and message the map creator to see if he could remove the horn?

 

+1. i miss pushing people out of the helicopter and throwing grenades into the heli to make people suicide out of the copter because of the grenades. The constant horn spam needs to stop though. This was the only map where I would use the tear gas grenade.

 

I honestly rather see roy the ship then this. Vessel is a take on roy the ship and roy the ship is a lot better then vessel.
