Shouldn't destroying evidence, like C4s be traitorous if given to the detective and someone clicks destroy before they get DNA? Isn't that sorta like helping the T's not be discovered by destroying the DNA covered object?

    It's because it's RDM.

That is wrong. What you are suggesting is complete RDM. If it was disarmed and caused the detective to not get DNA, then that can incite heavy suspicion. HOWEVER, you cannot kill for it because that is RDM.

If you are seen near the C4 and obviously running away from it (while it's still active), then that is traitorous and you can be killed for it.

To clarify, the C4 has to just have been planted and they would have not called it out. Keep in mind that some players play without sound.

It's a great idea, sadly it cannot be put anywhere with the rules.
If you destroy C4, your destroying the credit of the traitor.
If you dump identified body with DNA on it, your just trolling.

This is considered RDM because there are valid reasons to destroy C4, other than getting rid of the DNA. Many players will destroy it as a preemptive decision in fear that a traitor will re-arm it and set it off after killing them. I personally end up destroying C4 if there are no detectives very close by, simply because it's happened that while I was waiting for a detective, a traitor killed me, re-armed the c4, and killed many with it.

While it may be destroying evidence, it can also be a game changing decision for the better to destroy C4, so it's not solid proof to call someone a traitor just for destroying C4.
