since dark souls came out for free on XBL ive been on a bit of a binge, but im in a pickle trying to beat Ornstein and Smaugh. I only have like 2 humanity left, and Solaire is only useful as a distraction. Im a strength build knight too, so its a difficult battle and wanted to see if anyone on here would be able to assist me..?
If you have a digital copy of Dark Souls you won't be able to play online with others at the moment. Probably had something to do with so many people getting it because it was free.
Just use my brothers strategy, Scream "Fuck" every death and stop playing for a week. Then get back after that week, and hope you get lucky
If you still need help by this weekend, I can help you out. I have beat that game probably 1000 times and still play it. I am just currently on vacation and do not have my xbox with me so I can't really do it right now.
right now I have a lightning spear +5 and a drake sword +3. I can take down Smough ok but get slaughtered by Ornstein. once pvp and co op open up ill definitely hit you up if I haven't beaten it by then. ive been busy so I don't know if I will or not
update. JUST FUCKING FINALLY BEAT IT! I think I tried like 7 or 8 times in total to figure out a good strategy. I used my last humanity on Solaire and he actually did what I wanted him to and went after Smaugh, so I could pick off Ornstein. After that I just put a pillar in between me and super Smaugh and got in quick jabs while he recovered. ive never played a single game in my entire life that has given me this much of a feeling of achievement
