If someone says they are a T, and an innocent kills them for that and it triggers a RDM train is that slayable?

If an innocent calls a KOS on themselves or calls themselves a traitor, they can be killed. They will then be warned about it. If they do it again, and it causes an RDM chain, then they will be slain.

Isn't that technically a false kos to begin with, calling a kos on an innocent.

Actually, in this situation it would be Traitor-baiting because their are declaring themselves a traitor in an attempt to get people to kill them and reduce their karma. It is different than a false KOS because it is directed at themselves in a way that makes them the sole target as opposed to a false KOS where everyone just starts shooting whichever side of the gunfight they think is the traitorous person.

It's both traitor baiting and false KoS'ing. Normally you'll be warned for the first offense, but if you cause enough damage you may get worse punishment.

I think you have the wrong definition of traitor-baiting. I always thought you traitor bait people who you think are a traitor but cant prove it. So, you see a player who you think is a traitor, and you shoot at them in order to make them try and kill you. You bait the traitor into attacking you, allowing yuo to kill him. That's what t-baiting is.. Your definition would be innocent-baiting, baiting the innocents into killing you. aha.

Traitor-baiting is the act of doing anything considered traitorous in an attempt to get them to kill you and reduce their karma (if the person traitor-baiting is innocent). This includes, shooting towards people, making comments about things that only traitors would do ( Why is my cursor red, why does it say traitor in the lower left, etc.), and saying you are a traitor.

The term traitor baiting came from performing an traitorous act in an attempt to get a traitor to attack you because he feels like he has an excuse. Unfortunately a majority of the time it only works to get innocents to kill you.

If a detective calls a kos on themselves, can they be slayed for false kos? Or since it's 'a form of T-baiting', it doesn't apply to them?

Detectives aren't qualified for traitorous acts, so no. If someone were to kill a detective for calling a KoS on themselves there is a likelihood they'd get slain for RDM. But it's a grey area. Anyone who kills a detective for KoSing himself is just trolling(just like the detective is). They're also not false KoSing because you can't false KoS a detective. Granted, it's traitor baiting to KoS a detective as an inno/traitor and will get you killed.

Everything that Zikeji and Silent said are correct in reference to this topic. I feel like it could be locked by now.
