Anyone tested their FPS on this compared to the current one? I know that the Halloween and Christmas versions can be a little unoptimised? Otherwise, I reckon that this might be a good addition, although not a replacement
After exploring the map in spectator, its great. It has so much new things to it and it looks great. I had a few fps drops in some places but my pc isn't that great so I would expect it to. B5 has gotten rather boring and just turned into people speedrunning the 9 diamond ore. I feel like this would make a good replacement but as a lot of people love b5 I would say just keep both as I feel some people would be upset. I would need to play it for a whole map of TTT to give it an official rating but from looks alone I would give the layout an 8.5/10. So I give this map suggestion a huge 2+.
Heya, so I'm posting on this thread to give you the statistics that I have gathered and wrote down during an FPS test on both maps. It took a minute, and of course, the results would vary on systems because of specs. I have a pretty medium-high powered computer while others play on computers that are literal toasters. -=- Current Specs 1650 Super 4GB i5-10400 16gb Ram -=- I played on 16:1 resolution. gmod_mcore_test 1 was used. FPS could vary for people Old B5 Results Middle - MIN ~180FPS | MAX ~340FPS Nether - MIN ~400FPS | MAX ~800FPS Tower - MIN ~160FPS | MAX ~290FPS (fps was maxed out to 1000 to prevent capping) -=- New B5 Results Middle - MIN ~100FPS | MAX ~120FPS Nether - MIN ~180FPS | MAX ~290FPS Tower - MIN ~100FPS | MAX ~280FPS -=- I could have gone to other locations on both maps but those are the general places that people are in for most of the round. I considered the Middle region like this, Spoiler: Section in question https://i.imgur.com/5HWBKzk.jpg , I would consider the middle to be where the traitor room is or where the lake is but it's nothing to worry about. Overall giving the map a phat +1 cause it's just awesome, I would replace it just yet but could force rotation at times if it's all good and then replace it.
