Why you should be unbanned:

I believe I should be unbanned, because I have a clean record for bans, and most staff know that I am a player who would never break rules intentionally (I do realize unintentional ghosting is still bannable). If you believe an unban is to extreme of a reduction, then at least consider reducing the amount of days I am banned.​

Evidence of Innocence:

Using third party chat to inform player of in-game events they are not yet aware of. I believe that I have not broken the rule of ghosting, as storm most likely knew about my sniper, he was next to me and saw me sniping a traitor. ​

 

This is the same as telling someone to look for a kos in chat. Even if they saw it and didn't remember, reminding them could change the outcome of the game.

 

Patrick you were banned by @TheTrueCatMan, he will reply as soon as he can. You're probably best to post the chat logs by the way so we can see where your confusion was.

 

@stormcreator, can you explain what happened? Same with you @Patrick. It would help to get both sides of the story.

At the moment me and guilty were at the bottom of canyon, getting sniped at. Guilty had an HKSL8 and I had just died with my sniper. I told guilty to take my sniper

 

Wait.... I wasn't even in the game. So why am I included in this? LOL

 

Hey there Patrick. Let me just start by saying that ghosting is taken very seriously. That is why it holds such a severe penalty.

When Storm first messaged us in the admin chat that you were ghosting and showed me the message I questioned whether or not it was actually ghosting, but Storm had asked an admin on his opinion of it and they said that it was. This appeal is not about whether you ghosted or not, but an appeal for a decreased punishment.

However, with that being said, I do feel that in your case, the punishment should be decreased from the normal 4 week ban to a 1-2 week ban.

(Clarification of what happened: Storm is in a situation where he is being sniped and does not have a gun with enough accuracy to kill the sniper. Patrick sends a message to him when he was dead saying "Pick up the sniper". Had he not said that, then Storm would not of been able to snipe the sniper.)

@BreakCustoms was there during this and wanted to use this as a warning but seeing that there is no warning punishment for ghosting I went with the ban.

Yes that is true. I just said that to try and show the impact it had on the game. Just realized that it kinda came across unclear...

Just gonna tag @Carned since I don't believe I am able to reduce punishments for things like this.

 

I never picked it up beacuse that information was ghosted to me so I killed myself.

 

You are able, but Sir Lemon told me it was a ghosting offence, so its down to you to reban him with a new time.

 

Alright Patrick, so here's the deal. Due to this case being minimally severe, I have reduced your ban from 4 weeks to 4 days.
