Winchester is a RIFLE not a shotgun.

Seriously, wtf. I was under the impression the winchester would be added as a high powered rifle.
It uses rifle ammo, and shouldn't have any spread. This server doesn't need anymore shotguns.

I think there is also a Winchester shotgun which was the gun we got added. It'd be cool to see a bolt action non-scoped rifle added though. Something like the FN FAL with a lower fire rate and instant headshots.

 

I specifically linked to the name of the gun IN the game. The Winchester 1873 IS a rifle, not a shotgun. Yes, Winchester makes shotguns, but this model is not a shotgun, it's a repeating rifle. My family has a collectible model, we are gun fanatics. I was really excited to use this gun in game because I can't use it in real life. It was implemented wrong.

It should be a lever action 6 cartrage semi-auto rifle. Iron sight. Make it high damage to the chest because its not going to be effective at long range. 

 

I shot it and expected it to sound a lot different then just a regular shotgun. Also agree, the winchester is not a shotgun it is a rifle and should be treated as like a scout with no scope

Nice change, but the damage became pretty low, it lost most of the gunfights since it is 4 - 5 hit kill (not a headshot)

 

I would like to see it take rifle ammo, have a fire rate between the SL8 and the scout and the damage at about 35 to the body and 100 to the head. Anyone agree?

 

I think it would be better for a 2 hit kills to the body
It will be slightly different from a sniper rifle , as it has no scope , the fire rate should be better than a sniper rifle.
The main reason of using winchester now... It seems I cannot find a reason to use it, as it is too weak and will lose in any gunfight.
My suggestion is to make it more like a rifle, but without a scope, lesser accuracy but with higher rate of fire than sniper rifle

Was it changed again? When I first tried the change, I believe it was 50 dmg to the chest of an innocent, so you could get 2 chest shots and make a kill.

I had no problem getting 4-8 kill traitor rounds with it.

 

Being shot multiple time with that gun, lost about 20 hp per shot to me, it is not a pellet ammo , just a single bullet now
