Hello, so my computer has a problem. It takes forever to load, I can't right click, it freezes up a lot when running anything, and skips frames in games. All this happened after I started using my computer again after not using it for 6 weeks. Does anyone know what's specifically wrong with my computer? And how I could fix this problem so I can do things again?
Clean the hardware Idk if it has anything big to do with speed, but Will atleast make the pc last longer

Could be overheating or slow pc. This is usually the case with low end pcs, in games like csgo and valorant when smokes (which require a lot of fps) lag the game. This is also true on gmod, since the game eats a lot of fps. I recommend you clean out your pc with compressed air and dust it out. This is usually noticeable when you're playing a big game, where your pc fans start going wild and your task manager shows a high percentage of usage. There is also an option where you can minimise windows animations, this increases like 20-30 fps ingames. Could also be a program you installed lately, it could also be interfering with your performance, like hamachi for example. Another guess would be you have a laptop and it's on power save, this greatly reduces performance.
Honestly because you didnt give much information on whats happening, just that its slow, its hard to tell really whats happening. You need to take the troubleshooting steps one at a time. I would start with re-seating your RAM. Its as simple as taking each of your RAM modules out and then just putting them in the other slot. Put RAM module A in slot B and vice versa. If that doesnt work I would start to narrow down on the hard drive. Put your ear close to where you think the hard drive sits in your laptop. Listen for any clunks or scratches happening. Small amounts of this noise *should* be fine, but its never a good sign to hear it. Your Hard Drive could just be dying. The first sign of a dying hard drive is significant performance loss. Most hard drives only last a few years with heavy use so it might be time to consider getting a new one. If you decide to end up upgrading your HDD it might be worthwhile to make the investment in a SSD. It'll be faster than any newer HDD you install and will last much longer too. You can also stress test your CPU. This is unlikely to be the problem but from what I've learned working on PC's, it's to never rule things out. Before you do any testing I would get a trusted application to monitor your temps. MSI Afterburner is a good one, but if you find another one that you like then make sure its reputable. Continue on with the tests and see if you notice any significant changes to your temps or your PC's performance when doing the stress test. If none of those work it might be time to take it to a shop that can open it up and run their own diagnostics on it.
yeah sounds like CPU/HDD issues to me. I would get a program that monitors your temps and watch your temps as you use it, you might notice the CPU spike up when doing certain things and that fix could be as simple as reapplying the thermal compound
OK Idk what the fuck happened. I uninstalled two game launcher apps that I was told were running in the background and the computer shut off and went to a black screen with the ACER logo and text that says "Preparing automatic repair" it's been like this for 9 hours now
I didn't uninstall system 32 Two things I unistalled were Rockstar game launcher and Epic games game launcher
OK so after tinkering @Wendy I cleaned it out and it doesn't seem like that's a problem. Also my computer Acer Nitro 5 comes with a program called nitrosense that detects heat of the CPU and options for performance. The highest I've seen is 42°C before my issues
What I mean by it's slow is... Programs take forever to load, if they manage to load, sometimes they just crash. Even simple programs like settings sometimes crash. Overall game performance is OK, fps is good but it does freeze up every now and then. And sometimes skips frames
