so it's ok for let's say a 14 yr old to see a overly sexualized anime girl spray?? I think both are a problem. And honestly, I don't wanna see sexualized images while I game. I agree that we shouldnt allow sexualized animal images obviously, but why allow sexualized images at all is what I'm saying. Joke sprays and stuff are fine but when there are two half naked anime girls pushing against each other (which is someone's spray that I've seen for an example) its just gross :| and I'm not saying make it completely pg13, swearing and slurs and stuff is fine. but even I don't wanna see these images while I'm trying to play a game :/ I'm honestly surprised people want sprays like this. And I definitely don't wanna see any sexualized furry stuff while I game. That's not my cup of tea. Basically what I'm trying to say is we shouldn't allow sexualized animal images, seeing as how some people don't want to see that. with that in mind, there are people out there who don't want to view sexualized images of any kind while gaming (like myself), so we should also respect their views as well and not allow any sexualized images in general. unless someone can come up with a rock solid case for keeping sexualized images ofc, because rn it just seems pointless af
Dude kids start cursing in elementary school at this point, same thing with slurs, but I agree that slurs need to be made absolutely not allowed, not for kids, but for the social sanity of the server.
The reason why most are against furries is because it was made socially acceptable to jump on the harassment train. It's honestly not that much different from what you might see on the servers, but on a larger scale. If zoophiles didn't use the furry fandom as an excuse to justify their mental issues, then there would be less reason for people to be so against it. After all, what are the main insults against furries? They are comments like "dog" or "animal fucker", and so on. Other insults would be comments like "inhuman" or "degenerate" due to the misconception that furries think they are/want to be animals, which is not true (for most furries, there is a sub-culture which I can't speak for, but most furs aren't into that). Good example of harassment with insults. A good example of a stereotype. Honestly, I can't say I disagree with this. It seems like it's a lot more trouble than it's worth. All I'll say on this is that I wouldn't be opposed to banning NSFW images. While this is deviating away from the topic at hand, I do have to say that it doesn't help make the game Serious like the server is supposed to say. You can use them as long as you don't use them against people, but the whole reason for the words is to be a slur. Other than that, people just micspam it in an attempt to be funny, their vocabulary is so limited that's one of the few words they know or they're actually racist/homophobic and need to say the word. - I do want to say it would probably be harder to moderate if they were banned because of the reasons above, so that's probably why it's been legalized. :T EDIT (to reduce off topic discussion): As Frost said below, it wouldn't make moderating harder. In that case, I do believe it should be banned again. Although it was suggested recently and denied, I agree that it has no place on the server and it doesn't add anything to the gameplay.
Nope not at all, I've done it before and had no issue. The only reason people scream and spam it is because they know they are able to.
Why can’t we just use common fucking sense to sprays? Make it case to case per staff member. I don’t think any staff will act with malice regarding this. For borderline disturbing/porn sprays, warn, remove, then ban. For actual disturbing/porn sprays, ban. Also fuck play gmod to shoot at people not to show your fetishes.
So this is just the funniest comment I've seen all week. Yeah let's think of the children as we headshot them with our deagles and splatter their blood on the walls, then rush in to suicide bomb the rest screaming "NIGGERRRRR!!!" over the mic. Did you forget what game you are playing? TBH, these kind of furry sprays bug me a little (not much) but without them, I wouldn't know who the fuck to stay away from. These sprays act as giant warning signs to most normal players that say "DO NOT ENGAGE. DO NOT ASSOCIATE WITH THIS DEGENERCY". Let's keep them.
Also if this is disturbing content why isn't protip: it's not, but its worse than the furry image for sure.
yo 12 year old me would have been fuckin spooked from this. I personally think it's slightly disturbing, but not to the point where it should be. However, I am 20 now, not 12. I think the issue here is that it is expected that most players can handle that stuff. If they can't, they're free to leave I guess. I feel like this rule was made to make things "easier" for the mods, so they don't have to deal with players who use furry harassment as an excuse to be toxic. But that's a personal opinion. Whatever the reason is, it's super discriminatory because as I mentioned before, people can still post things like sexy anime cat girls (who could theoretically be considered furries, AKA sexualizing animals), or sexy sccubi/demons.
Alright boys. So these aren't allowed Spoiler: Images considered to be disturbing content redacted redacted But this is: Really not understanding this. Please explain @Jabba the Slut @Lordyhgm @Ashes Relandi @Credence @Nathan776
In my humble opinion, those images that I have redacted had boobies, and were wearing suggestive outfits to display their assets. My dog splays its legs all the time.
A what point do "assets" become too much? Are male fursonas less likely to be removed than Spoiler: female fursonas Has boobies..... redacted At what point is the clothing too "sexy"? Is it here? https://vignette.wikia.nocookie.net...est/scale-to-width-down/340?cb=20190125182832 Is it here? https://ih1.redbubble.net/image.884497864.5138/fposter,small,wall_texture,product,750x1000.jpg Is it here? https://prnt.sc/s6flsw How about now? https://prnt.sc/s6fmh1 Based on your previous response, I'm assuming image number 4, since she has boobies and is wearing somewhat revealing clothing, even though there's nothing else sexualized about the image and the first image is almost JUST as revealing....
It's deemed too much when people start complaining or the staff member online finds it to be worthy of removal. I see less male imagery regarding this topic than female imagery, so, technically? Spoiler For me ^ Also keep in mind unless extremely disturbing, this rule change is really only going to result in sprays being removed when people are uncomfortable, within reason. Also sprays broken, Highwon, please fix.
So I could cry to a staff member and get any of those removed if they make me feel uncomfortable, and the player will get a note not to use that spray again warned on x date? Same logic could be used with any male fursona, since that does indeed make me feel uncomfortable....
It's not just if you're personally disturbed. It still needs to be considered 'sexualized.' That's where that 'withing reason' part comes from.
This image right here makes me feel uncomfortable, as it's a male (bisexual? assuming based from the position, sorry maro) humanoid dog taking on a male rendition"bedroom, bedtime eyes look" kind of like this but different camera angle/pose angle: You made a point that its a dog, so it might be exhibiting one dog behavior. It's also a humanoid dog, so it could be mimicing a human behavior like this, especially with that expression on it's face, ready to get plowed and pass out from the experience. If a butt on a deer can be sexy enough to remove as "disturbing content" this should be considered as uncomfortable imagery too.
