Just curious if you think the Traitor Tester (and the basement) looks better now (and if it fits better with the original map). Spoiler: Tester & Basement
Just for a comparison: Spoiler: Before Spoiler: Now (I know it may be annoying that I'm posting so much but most of you haven't made a map (yet) and I just want to show how the process and design etc. works (and how long/short it takes)
Thank you, guys (and girls/whatever). Quality takes its time. I'm not the type of person that likes to releases ugly maps that aren't designed very well myself. Since this is my first "Minecraft Map" it's pretty difficult to find fitting design choices if you are very limited when in comes to models, shapes and textures. If I should start making another Minecraft map after this, it will probably be easier to do.
It's especially difficult to recreate maps with lots of small pathways and objects. Community Pool is very prop-weighted map which is sadly very hard to recreate in Minecraft.
I tried to recreate a map once that was pretty small in mc version. It's impossible and I don't know how you do it. Amazing work.
This small hallway already took a while to make because I needed to get the proper lighting... (I made this additional path/tunnel because the basement seems a little bit small in the original map) Note: The tunnel can't be accessed without shooting TNT blocks or destroying other blocks. Spoiler: Pictures Spoiler: Obaminion
The basement is the biggest construction site of the whole map. The map isn't finished at all, but I will once again show a small comparison. (Minor adjustments, basement, tester, a few traitor traps, teleportation system, skybox and proper lighting are still on the To-Do-List) Spoiler: Pictures Now Before Now You probably noticed that the rocks graving the walls and the TNT blocks are still missing (they are the biggest detail in this area).
Have you added in any traitor traps yet? Will there be exploding turtles like in the original pool maps?
