the first portion of your post is probably the most valid reason for getting rid of the second offense perma. but this portion right here quoted is another really valid point, but supports the argument for perma on second offense. we have a relatively active lead currently in tenure so I think the perma extension wouldn’t be a problem like it was in past when there was less active leadership. I’d rather have pacifist holding the smoking gun against hackers than leaving it up to the staff team, which in your own words is “inexperienced” and has a variant of opinion which can allow for hackers to stay longer than they should before they are banned.
