my first memory of playing video games was when my family had a n64 playing mario kart and goldeneye, the next thing i remember is my brother convincing our mom at walmart to get halo ce for the original xbox
All of the point and click adventure games. Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis, Secret of Monkey Island, Spyfox, etc. still play them sometimes
The best games were the irl ones. Home free (hide and seek tag) and capture the flag at night in the suburbs. Great, great times.
In terms of point-and-click games I played some of the Pajama Sam games as a kid. In fact I've been tempted to get them on Steam because I'm nostalgic.
Alright so, I played a game with talking cars and such since I was a huuuuuge Disney fan when I was a lil' kid. This game was called ChoroQ, a game which has very serious car drama and topics, which includes fucking SUICIDE and BLACKMAIL. Eight-year-old me didn't know shit back then, I was too fixated on the cute cars and the funky aesthetic, not knowing that this Japanese racing game had the weirdest plot. Even the Wikipedia page for this game is poorly-done, cuz nobody gives a shit about this obscure game nobody has heard of. Here's the link to it: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ChoroQ_(video_game) oh yeah i also played lots of halo 3, i guess.
Speaking of cars, I played a lot of racing games as a kid, the ones that come to my mind are Tonka Raceway, Lego Racers, and Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit 2.
Spyro, Crash Bandicoot (crash bash was the tits) and the original Tomb Raider games were my childhood tbh. Also used to play the shit out of croc and bubble bobble (all of these were on the playstation 1 btw)
Def, I can’t remember the tomb raider game that was on windows xp, that started in a cave with tigers. Anyways it was fire, also 007 !
Tomb Raider 2 started with a cave and tigers, she was in China I believe, was my fav game to ever play honestly. My mum and I would sit together (i was like 5 or 6 btw LOL) and we would take it in turns playing a level. God I fucking loved that game. The one on XP was anniversary tho, back in like 2007 I think
