Starting July 17, Save the World will be on sale on Xbox, PS4, and PC for a limited time. This is my own personal opinion on things. I will reveal some of what is there, click on the sections you want to see. If you dont want spoilers then hop on to the game first and then go into it. Spoiler: Battle Pass Spoilers I like that the challenges on the battle pass are now broken up so that Free battle pass people have something more than the daily challenges to look forward to rather than just sitting there with nothing but the daily shotgun elims and things of that nature. I also like the fact that the free battle pass gets more this time around compared to last year. We got yet another 7 week challenge skin, this time called the Road Trip Challenges. This will probably take us across the map mainly going to the new places while visiting some of the old gems like we did the crab in Season 4. I will be curious to see what this one holds in store for us as a skin that in my opinion needs to hold up to The Visitor skin from last season. I also like the fact that the free battle pass gets more this time around compared to last year. The paid battle pass obviously going to 100 but the free pass going up to 62. Yes the gear isn't as frequent as the paid one but still cool none the less, and the items are sure not scrubby. Now we get into some of the emotes and gear that is given out in the battle pass tiers this year and I honestly like a lot of these items, especially some of the dances given this year. Gentleman's Dab https://streamable.com/a2d18 All I got to say to this is how is that a dab? You're Awesome https://streamable.com/bdgdm Its a nice little flare with a little bit of a catchy background to it. Its good for where it shows up on the pass at tier 31. Calculated https://streamable.com/2e7fu One of my favorites on the pass and its for you ones who dont like to pay for the pass at tier 46. This is quite the head nod towards Big Shaq. The fact that they decided to make this part of the free pass shows that they dont save all the good stuff for the paid pass. Swipe It https://streamable.com/2r48x Here we go again with the hip hop era making a flash into the game with what I am pretty confident in being the Milly Wop. Tier 63 is a nice placement for this emote to get those people who got the pass working for it. Breakdown https://streamable.com/2slid This makes sense that it would be up there at tier 95. Its about as cool as Groove Jam was last season. Its so diverse and complex. Its weird and its funny to watch even. It kinda describes Fortnite in one shell. I personally like this emote and will see this used quite a bit. There are the new Toys in this pass which is completely new to my knowledge, you can toss a basketball, hit a golf club off of a tee which is nice and the good ole classic beach volleyball. Spoiler: Map Spoilers. Anarchy Acres is gone sadly but we got the nice little golf course out of it. This is a nice addition in my mind to the map replacing one of the farm lands since Fatal Fields still exist. Decent loot but nice looking aspect to the map. The mountain with only the house on the top of it became a Viking Haven, a Valhalla if you will, with a good amount of loot. It comes complete with a ship, bits of snow, and a waterfall that goes completely down the mountain. The loss of prison and moisty mire were soon to be filled with Paradise Palms. It brings new types of houses and buildings that make for quite a fun navigation. It feature kind of a Greasy Grove feel with the layout but yet there is no burger sadly, with a shop style building in the middle with a outlier in the hotel motel surrounded by houses. They make for quite the battles. Spoiler: Game Mechanic Spoilers The two additions to the game adds more speed and more eyes to the skies. The ATK In shorter terms, its a golf cart with some of the Mario Kart cars. You get a speed boost from drifting with the car alternating colors on how long you have been drifting. Now this may have no blue turtle shells or 1 Ups, this still adds another fun aspect to the game. You can also get quite the ramming speed on it and people go flying. Unlike Mario however you cant drive this puppy in deep water. It will go slower than a turtle on crutches. Void Rifts This gives you basically a free jump pad. You jump into these bad boys and then it gives you the same effect of the bouncer and the jump pad combo. You disappear high in the sky and you get to get a second chance at landing. Nothing too special. I just thought the new slow mo victory royale and jump pad timing looked pretty cool.
Spoiler: The most tryhard skin of them all Game randomly decided to glitch while I was in lobby and gave me both John Wick and Omega. (ignore the bad quality, my laptop is shit)
