Lower the Traitor %

Since players can buy T (and detective) it tends to leave a lot of the rounds or maps heavily "T" based I think that instead of the default percentage for T's selected from the number of players on the server it should be almost halved. since with so many T's most of the time, even as a T there is no challenge or no chance of inno's winning.

    at the very least perhaps if possible lower the amount who can buy t per round and or lower how many times T can be bought (like 1 time out of 2 map changes instead of one)

    it seems like especially when full there are sooo many T's especially if only 2-3 bought it. when there is only 1-2 T's its not bad if another one or 2 buy it. since there are only 4 t's one D and maybe 5 more or so Inno's

    but to have nearly 2-3 T's or more per Inno, that's heavily over-weighted.

    I like when there are less t's and making it harder for T's to win, (when I am a T that is) because it makes it more challenging, but not ridiculously. Right now it is ridiculous for Innos on a full server I will upload some screens on times when no one buys T and when 1-2 or even 3-4 buy it. then its REDICULOUS 1-2 not too bad but on a full server when the T's are maxed already then it can be even too much for only 1-2 T's buys.


    Basically half the % of people being T's from what it is now. since players can buy T. << that's my suggestion.

    I find the the number of ts per round at the time is a very good number. 1:4 is the ratio of ts so I think we are fine for now

    NO change on the ratio. Reason being? Because the amount of Ts per Inno is already good enough. Soooo, -1
     
  4. good enough? I am asking to lower it. you cant tell me you hate buying t with 2-3 others and only being able to get 1 kill ifg any in the 2 mins the round lasts?

    I find that innos win 50% of the time and ts the other 50 so I really don't see a reason to change it

    Yes, there's no need to change it. It's still fairly balanced and if you're not getting kills on your t round because others bought, it's not their fault.

    Also, they can only buy once per map, so it's not like it happens all the time.

    From what I've seen with regular games (no T buying), and with 25+ people, innos usually win. It's rare with there ever being more than 2 people in 1 round.

  10. All i know is i have seen 20 t's on a game with only 32 players on it. WAY too many.

    another time no one bought t but nearly half were T's also not even fun as a T the amount of wins as T should be less than "half the time" itgs hsould be a skilled thing to win as a T

    so if they won like 25 % or less that would be more fun and challengning
     
  11. IT ALSO SEEMS most who want to stay the same cus everyone just wants to be a T. or doesnt wanna buy T. personally that would also make T more valuable. since you wouldnt get T as much.

    I like being T just as much as the next guy but not when half the team is a T.

    The number of traitors is fine for now; 1 traitor for every 4 players on the server. On a full 36/36 server, there will be 9 traitors. The wins/losses are about even, as they should. We do have a very high skill rating on this server so sometimes a lot of skilled players will be traitors together and wipe the innocents with no hope of losing. At the same time, a lot of unskilled players can be traitor at once and I have seen rounds where 12 traitors couldn't take out 24 innocents.. let alone 6 innocents, because they were that unskilled.
     
  13. yes but ad in the fact that you can buy T once every 6 rounds approx. That and on a full server you may have 2-4 people buying T Every round. I have seen 6 buy T once on an already full server (that means none of the 6 were already T since it said it at round start) that's the most I have seen but I see players buying a lot. at least every map change on a semi-full to full server AT LEAST 3-6 players buy per map change. I know I buy T at least once every 2 or so map changes or more if I have points racked up.

    All I was suggesting was a slight change, like lowering the percentage by 5% or so. it seems it's at 25% so why not make it 20%

    I have played on a 12 player server max, that had it set at only 2 person T's max. one if less than 7 players. and actually as the rounds were a tad longer. (still had the time limits similar just kills happened less often) it was quite fun and more (covert) like than running around as a T and spraying everyone with 2 or more T's with you when there is only 1 or 2 inno's in the room.

    it made strategy more pronounced in game play. although i am not saying lower it THAT much. a slight lower I think would be cool.

    in the above example. leaving bodies around would be bad as the detective (oh there was also always 1 D for each T) (OB MAX OF 2 d'S AS WELL) COULD DNA scan then your are pretty much caught lol. however flare gun and hiding bodies became more of a necessity than normal.
     
  14. -1 The number of afk and slayn traitors makes up for the bought traitor rounds, its not perfect but changing it would just make it worse.

    The only time I ever see more than 3 people buy traitor in one round is when it's coordinated. I once coordinated 9 people buying traitor. Needless to say, we wrecked everyone, lol. And even 3 people buying traitor is rare enough. I usually see only 1 or 2 buy traitor, and they still lose even with 2 extra traitors.
     
  16. You do realize the probability of a T being slayed over an inno (including detective) is nearly 4 times lower if the ratio as said before is 1:4 lmao.

    therefore it wouldn't make that problem worse it would make it less prevalent. Simple math. chances and probability. go back to stats class please.
     
  17. I don't know man I guess it's just my luck but every time I'm slain I'm a T, and people don't buy Traitor all that often, there are some occasions when its ridiculous how many people buy T but it's not often.
