That mobo doesnt appear to have an m.2 slot or i would have gone with that. The mx500 isnt a bad ssd tho honestly look up the reviews

 

Could get windows 10 elsewhere for cheaper. Its more like $30 instead of $90

 

They would have to know how to boot from a usb and not everybody does.

 

I mean once you get the OS on the usb stick the BIOS will prioritize that usb stick to run since it has the files. I could also walk someone through the process.

its not the booting procvess people have trouble with its the making the usb drive a bootable disc. I had some trouble getting it to format and stuff but idk that was just me

I think buying an APU would be the best option for this. GPU's are super expensive right now. It'd get the cost down to $700 + windows, which is still a ton of money. I added the power supply from elvis' list.

Not having a gpu in the current build will allow for upgrades down the road, but how well does the apu stand? I don’t know anything about the apu. Compared to the 1050ti ofc


Edit: just looked at some benchmarks of the apu, and it’s suprisingly good. 60 FPS avg on bf1 at 720p. That’s... insane

Updated the parts list again. 250gbssd + 1tb HDD -> 500gb ssd. Reduced the price of the RAM by using a brand I've never heard of (Geil??) Need 16gb since APU needs graphics memory. Changed mobo too to reduce cost by $50 or so. Changed case because holy shit, built one with this S340 elite yesterday, and its my new favorite case

Can't go much cheaper and maintain performance. Currently at $650 + windows.

 

So in this build you expect whomever recives this to have the gear to go with it? You should realise that most people play on a laptop so something like a monitor and keyboard may not be something they have, much less a proper desk or chair.
