Hello SGM! I am making a map for a project in History. I do not know much about map making so If you want to help then please let me know! It is due in a month. I would like it to be based off of D-Day. I will try to release it here afterward. Thanks! I will give out ranks if you help.
Step 1: Learn how to use hammer Then you can start on your map. A couple of things you need to understand is that the type of map you want to make will more than likely require you to do a lot of carving and cutting so that edges become more rounded. Also, you'll be working with a lot of smaller parts. If you wanted to add functions than it would be even harder. If you need any help just hmu on steam (add me if you want to) or just start a conversation with me. I understand most of the basics when it comes to hammer.
Ttt. I’m going To need someone who can help me throughout the whole thing because I doubt I could do it myself. I added you Pacifist
in one month? what level of detail are you expecting? mapping is pretty difficult, and making things beyond basic shapes is even more difficult.
You won't get anything done in 1 month with a decent level of detail, and especially the fact that you are new in mapping
I am not going to have everything done in one month. Just enough for my project. I will continue afterward though to make it a full map.
You also have the option of decompiling an existing map and using that. Teacher won't ever notice, easy win. Just downgrade it so it looks like a month of work, gg ez
Why don't you just design it? You don't have to be savvy with actually making a map, but if you make a design for it you'd still show creativity i guess
all you gotta do is just fiddle around with it for a couple hours. not that hard to learn. mastering it will take awhile.
