Ofc an assault rifle is better at crowds than most of the other guns. That is just logic. But you could do it with m16(or m14 don't remember which is the assault rifle) and still do good.
"Okay, well the AK is a bit overpowered." But you need to be greatly skilled to get a big kill streak with it. Shotgun is a shotgun, not an AK, they don't compare at all. Each gun has it's own play style. Pick up the gun that suits your play style. For example, if you like to stay in buildings, use the shotguns. If you wanna be in the open, good luck. The only reason the AK is able to kill 10 people when someone is in the open mowing everyone down, is very simple actually, the innocent team is so unskilled that they can't kill the guy with the AK. Can the AK perform magic and mow down people rushing at you, yes, actually, it can, but so can the ACR, and the ACC Honey Badger. Those have almost no recoil compared to the AK. In all honesty the AK is dangerous, but it's not OP. Learn the weaknesses of your enemy, at least that is what I've learned from playing 1400 competitive games in csgo.
I still don't understand why we have so many unnecessary or useless SMGs, pistols, assault rifles and sniper rifles. I assume for "variety" but most of them are stats copied from the base weapons and either are sidegrades or garbage Maybe the Balance update will fix that, but I don't have high expectations
Yea, there is only 3 viable weapons in vanilla. Ak47 which is for donates pretty much, the shotgun, and the deagle. Everything else is just trash.
It's trash, you won't be able to kill an ak user or shotgun user with a sniper. Plus the sniper and deagle do the same shit.
Also vanilla maps favor close quarters guns by a huge amount. Only map I would prefer to use the rifle on is mc_dolls
Tbh, to some extent, most of the guns are 'OP' in certain situations. It depends on how you use it really :3
