Add a waterbreathing tool for traitors.

  1. I couldn't see anything in the search bar about this so forgive me if it's been suggested before.

What I'm suggesting is a tool that extends the time traitors can go underwater for. Not indefinite waterbreathing but just for a longer period of time.

(If anybody knows the current limit please let me know this)

This would allow traitors to attack from underwater, hide for a short time and be forced to come back out.

Either: The time they breathe extends indefinitely but they have to come up for air.

Or: The time they breathe extends but it's only for a single use and once they deplete it the water damage returns to normal.

I'm not sure how useful would that be. It's very situational, maybe TOO situational. I don't believe it will be used much.

I could see it being quite useful for traitors sniping underwater... only issue being that most water distorts your vision to the outside making it difficult to actually see anything while submerged.

  5. You could just go in and out of the water killing people, submerging each time. I don't see how this would be useful honestly besides making innocents RDM each other because they can't see where the shooting is come from but that happens regardless your submerged.

  6. Then having it break after a single use would remedy this.

This is an interesting suggestion but tbh I feel it's useless too. A lot of the maps that is played doesn't even have water and I feel it's dumb having an item that doesn't even do anything unless there is water on the map(and to add to that some maps have water but that there is no point hiding in) so -1 just because I feel there is too little use for it.

  12. Now that I think about it, if detectives have it too it will be balanced. Could be used to defend against T-Traps, defuse underwater C4s, hide from a group of traitors/innocents etc

The visualizer is mainly used to find tracers to see where snipers are coming from. That's really the only main use but it does help get rid of the snipers.

It's an interesting idea, but unfortunately the more it's considered the less feasible it seems.

As mentioned in this thread https://www.seriousgmod.com/threads/ocean-man.37547/, it would be useless for sniping and it's only real appeal would be hiding from players on land/playing shark as the T.

I think it would be better implemented as a perk like radar scan cool-down time ect.

I'd rather just have a bar that shows remaining underwater oxygen level.

Combining those two ideas may be supplemental to each other though, 3-5 levels of breath holding that extend the bar/ slow the breath bar draining by X percent for each level.
