I just wanna get the servers opinions on what you'd want SGM to branch out to. I want this community to be successful in other games and game modes, but it just isn't happening. What do you think would be? Well since SGM is going for a record to see how fast they can kill a server let's go for Sandbox or DarkRP and make Hingle admin for it. (This is a joke from a former community Hingle and I were on don't get butthurt)
Funny joke (I was here too, don't get offended everyone ;^) I feel like Rust is a good decision, not a Gmod gamemode.
I kind of like the idea of the guess who game. Prop hunt but with npcs. It removes what I don't like about prop hunt, the map memorization where either people learn the hardest spot to find out get killed in and play in that spot as a tiny prop every round or they memorize the props so well you can't hide in the open. The reason TTT is so lasting is that with T- weapons and unique maps there's almost no end to how many different strategies there are and how many situations you can find yourself in. Just the other night, despite my many many hours on TTT, for the first time I intentionally tricked a detective into killing the last living inno when I realized he didn't know that disguises his radar blips. Nothing is wrong with the other gamemodes but there's an end to things you can do and then it becomes repetitive and stale, people get bored. They're fun to play every once in a while. I would suggest a rotating server, that cycles through gamemodes changing once a week. But I don't know if that's even possible to set up
