So what I am talking about is that if a player that isn't D crouch block the shield door and a D crouch jump onto the other person both would be able to enter the D room and any D wouldn't be able to do anything as it's not kosable. I find this to be dumb as it can mean Ts can use this to get into the D room and the Ds can't even do anything about it as long as the player doesn't do anything. This means the D room is kinda pointless when it offers that little protection. I know this is a problem because of how the shield doors works but I don't think it's fair that there isn't any rules against it even if it caused the game to be able to be played in a different way that it is supposed to. I won't say it should be treated as normal exploit because of the reason why you can glitch through, but I think it should at least be added so the staff can warn and ban if the players continue to do so.
Well, if this form of entry is only possible if the detective helps them get in I don't really see the point you're making. I also think that entrance to the D room isn't a traitorous act in the first place, so there isn't really a reason. The person doing this could be innocent as much as a traitor, so the act isn't traitorous in nature.
The Ds might not be aware of the glitch and I want it to be forbidden since it means Ts can get in and kill the ones inside without using the door they are supposed to which a D have to push on purpose for it to open, while a new player might think the shield will prevent anyone from going in no matter what. And I don't see the purpose of a D room when the only safe door can easily be glitched without any conecuenses(and I do not say the the player not being the D should be punished but the player knowing about the glitching using it on purpose which can be either D or the other person or both)
It shouldn't be against the rules for a D to allow players into the D room or for Innos/Ts to "glitch" themselves inside. The D room is a public area. If you manage to get in, congrats. This doesn't give any clues about if you're a T or not
You do know we have another door with a button for the Ds to let ppl in but with this the Ds know the risk but for Ds not knowing the glitch it lets ppl in without them meaning to do so
Different maps have different ways of getting into the D room Playing on people's ignorance of game mechanics is part of the game
Just because something has been there a long time doesn't make it good. As far as I know it's because it's hard fixing the issue itself but it doesn't mean it should be allowed to use the glitch.
Also f From wikipedia: In video games, an exploit is the use of a bug or glitches, game system, rates, hit boxes, or speed, etc. by a player to their advantage in a manner not intended by the game's designers. Exploits have been classified as a form of cheating.
Well, maybe instead of allowing both players into the detective room, it allows neither to enter the room. This brings risk either way because it would leave the detective to use the other door. The way the non-detective players should be allowed to enter the room is through the actual door; where they are intended to enter the room. The mechanic is being tricked to allow the non-detective player to go through a door they normally shouldn't be allowed to go through; meaning that it's broken.
Depending on the map, there is the ability to make the d-room shield door close off for everyone such as on Innocent Motel. Otherwise, glitching in through the main door can't be seen as anything other than potentially exploiting. It is not traitorous to enter the d room, and due to this I don't support this suggestion. However, the idea of making this be considered exploiting is interesting, but I still do not support it because it's too easy for even first time players to do this on accident just by trying to run into the barrier themselves. Players know that the D room does not mean absolute certainty in being safe, and a detective that does not want to have players kill them in the d room needs to not jump on them when they are crouching on the barrier. I can think of many reasons that I don't support this suggestion for, and those are just the first that come to mind.
The part that it's not kosable is the reason I suggested it because the Ds can't do anything with players glitching and I said the first instance of doing this can be just a warning instead of a ban because the shield door issue isn't easy to fix and can indeed be done by accident.
While I can see your points, I have yet to see people abusing this very often. Furthermore, how will we know whether the detectives let them in or they glitched in? Thus, a warning might not be the best course of action. Making it traitorous to enter Detective room might be more ideal solution to what you are trying to say. However, do we really need to make a safe zone for detectives? There are few maps with detective rooms compared to vast majority of the maps we have in current map rotation. Thus, I don't think this is an issue at all. I will remain neutral on this suggestion.
My argument is that is should not be considered an exploit due to the following reason: In order to enter the room, it requires someone in the room to get on top of a crouching player in the doorway, and this is similar to how someone in the room has to open the door. Just because a player is unaware of what they are doing or what they are capable of doing does not mean they are not responsible for their actions, and in this case, if a player lets another player into the room via this method, they are still responsible for letting them into the room. With this being said, I do not support this being an act that is punishable on the servers or considered an exploit. -1
