From my perspective, there was a lot of failure of communication from both sides last night, not just on Highwon. A lot of stuff was going on yesterday, at first in terms of discussing the Teamspeak channels, but then it presumably devolved into all of this. I was privy to absolutely none of it beyond an initial voicing of opinions by some of the staff team against some proposed changes to the Teamspeak, but after that, the only information I got about any of this entire situation was from people posting at a million miles per hour in the Shoutbox. Now I'm seeing this thread, where people are voicing their stances more clearly, but it still honestly leaves a lot to be filled in, but my reaction based off of last night is that a fair amount of people decided to take this whole issue and massively blow it out of proportion without a fair amount of people both on the staff team, and obviously in the community, knowing what all happened. There was some discussion of what happened to cause so many to resign on Teamspeak, but nothing there gave me a complete picture of what happened. I didn't get that side from Highwon or the leads, either. So either I'm missing something, or a lot of people decided to jump to conclusions about things they didn't know 100% about. And this extends to everyone involved in this situation, not just Highwon, and not just the people who resigned as a result of this.
Ask them yourself for 100% transparency. If you ask for highwon to respond for them, that's not 100% transparent.
May I add, while I don't agree with some of the actions made here, I will add this isn't the first uprising as seen here: http://www.seriousgmod.com/threads/hopefully-it-all-ends-now.11173/ Sorry, I'll take my leave. @Mr. Rogers
It is the same thing happening over and over. A community/fourm becomes popular, with decent amount of users/staff. Then one day, it all bursts. 1 or more people just betray and backstab everybody and spam porn and crap onto the fourms and there is chaos going on. In the aftermath, more chaos and panic and confusion and backlash against owners and staff. I have witnessed this already on 4 communities that I have been lurking around on. It never stops.
I wonder who will be the next backstabbers in 1 or 2 years. It's going to happen again and this same shitstorm will happen all over again.
And here is where the Glory of Serious GMod shines. We all joke and can poke fun and make penis jokes here and there. But when shit hits fm the fan and the chaos unfolds, then the community puts on their own serious faces and gets 2 steps ahead of the problem by actually talking about it in the best ways possible, and clearing out every single false rumor that lays here. We will bounce back from this mess with a little scratch and bruise here and there but all will heal and return to our normal immature selves
Dunno probably just some kid putting his two worthless pennies of shit in where it's not wanted. But, that's just a guess.
Let's keep this thread civil and avoid insulting each other, please. There's no reason to close a thread with a legitimate discussion because of a few people who can't control themselves, so please try to do so.
Ditto. I may not be a mod but dammit I can be mature to. And I'm not even 18 yet! So if I can be mature then I'm sure as hell the 2 VIPs @Mikasa and @Thistle can be.
You're 14 for one. Stop swearing as much as a drunk 22 year old. Two, you don't know shit about what has happened, so be quiet and stay in your lane. You barely even know hello my friend & Ragman so just do us all a favour and stay quiet. Thanks. logged back in to say this because i'm tired of watching your shit.
