Hey All, I decided to make this short autobiography to make myself seem a little more personable. So here is my story; I didn't want it to sound like an AA meeting, so I actually put some thought into this thing. I was born in a small, rural town in Ohio 25 years ago to parents that were already divorced by the time I was born. My mom lived with my dad until I was five, when they had a custody battle and my dad was granted full custody of my brother and I. We were raised moving from place to place so my dad could keep up with finding a place to rent; luckily my school district was pretty large, so I was always around the same kids growing up. Dad would drop my brother and I off at my grandma's house, she was born in 1917 and had old school discipline, whilst he would go to work. There, as well as dad's hunting cabin, we learned things like respect and that if you want something, don't expect anyone else to get it for you. We learned that our elders were a wealth of knowledge and that experience is the best teacher; even if it is someone else's experience. My dad raised his boys to be country boys and hunters, so I hunted everything there was to hunt in Ohio from the time I was 5 until I left for the military at the age of 20; I was in the woods as often as possible and found it to be a place of peace and tranquility. After graduating high school, I decided to get a job. It was a decent job, but it wasn't going to get me anywhere, so I packed up my stuff, and joined the Air Force. I came in with a guaranteed career as a medic and it was the best decision I could have made. I have been in the military for 5 years now, with one more to go, if I so desired. I am stationed nearly 4000 miles away from home and, at times, it can be difficult. Just a little under 6 years ago, I met a girl whom I dated before joining the Air Force; we split up after we realized that a relationship just wasn't what either of us needed at the time. Two and a half years ago, while home on leave, her and I spark an old flame. The two and a half years after, up until today, have been the best days of my life. I proposed to that beautiful woman last June and she will become my wife this September. Sadly, you probably won't see much of MangoTango after that, as I will be taking care of a lot of real life issues, like getting her on my orders and getting her to me; yes, she is back home, in Ohio, so we only see each other around three times a year, for three weeks max, if we are lucky. Oh yeah! I joined the community of STTT in September of last year and have dedicated quite a few hours, and forum posts if you look at the members sorted by posts, in that time. I am thankful for the experience and I am hoping that it won't be over any time soon. Thank you for your time! TL;DR: Hi, I'm MangoTango!
