No thanks. I don't really script or cheat, but I do have games that interact with source in certain cases. Mostly just passive recorders that are always on and capturing video that I can save to a push of a button, or automatically delete certain recordings over a particular length otherwise. I'm sure there are also people who interact with the server using similar programs, such as p-rec for recording demos, or something else similar. I don't wanna get banned for the things I really don't do, thanks. In my experience, unless I'm playing at dead night time, most reports take at the most 5 hours. And likely, they'll be done for in an hour once a mod notices the report. There's no need.
Yeah, I remember a friend of mine got banned from a server I staffed at the time because he had a mod up for Sakura clicker lmao
Im about 110% sure that, that isnt how it works. Cake wouldnt have access to search your files like the VAC system does.
Cake only bans people wig client side lua scripts if you even injected a dull or did anything wrong you will get banned and that. Is your fault .
We've discussed it several times. Anti Cheat has false positives. We don't want to risk banning innocent players. Also, just because something is Lua doesn't automatically make it bad. It's very possible to be bad, or cheating, but not always. And just because something ISN'T Lua doesn't mean it's good either.
I have seen, with my own 2 eyes that I own on my face, people bypassing cake. Many times. sorry but ur "hacker community" has been feeding you lies my child
People should not be using Luas in the first black and its because they also have a bin folder which is what hackers use.
I dont think you are doing your research my good fellow. Cake is as easily bypassed as any of the other anticheats. New bypassers are coming out daily and they becoming harder to detect within cake.
Stop. Lua isn't automatically the devil. You can use it for all sorts of useful things that aren't cheating. Logging your game stats to a notepad, Or even cosmetic stuff, like having your keyboard change to a different color if you're on low health. Those are just two examples. Meanwhile, here's a bunch of NON-Lua cheats. Retexturing walls to be transparent so you can see people through walls. IT'S NOT LUA MUST BE FINE Modding sound files to be louder for things like T weapons to track them easier. IT'S NOT LUA MUST BE FINE. See how that mentality just doesn't work?
1. Nice spelling there bub. 2. There are other ways of injecting lua files. 3. One would think that a previous cheater would know. 4. I dont really have a fourth but just pretend i put some witty snarky comment here telling him off about something idfk See, there is something wrong here. By default, cs_lua is set to 0. You can check for yourself. Try to open a lua file without an injector. Doesnt work. By default, LUA files arent allowed. Thats that. Regardless if they are bad or good, they arent allowed. Look dude, there is no need for an anticheat. There are far more problems that can occur along with the fact that literally half the time the anti cheat doesnt even detect it bc its being bypassed.
I know both Razer and Steelseries have Development kits specifically to attatch colors to certain in game events. It natively supports CS:GO in certain instances, having certain lights turn on or off depending on your ammo or health, ETC. http://techblog.steelseries.com/images/csgodemo-youtube720p.mp4
Really now? Well, I'll take your word for it. I just remember in other games the same discussion going up, about how someone called a custom hud cheating because it used LUA for some of it's functions. Even though the game devs were like "Ah, that's cool. Sure. You can use it." Everyone still flipped their shit because they think LUA automatically means that they can get into bank accounts or something.
Depends on the keyboard you have, and if you know how to use the SDK for Steelseries or Razer, at least. I don't know much else, other than it being possible.
