So temple of anibus, we all know how badly first point goes. A reinhardt, the only one alive, tried to be a hero. He charged for first point, used his ult. Died. We were all just spawning, he charged 6 ppl at first point. About 10 seconds later, we're rushed with no counters because reinhardt was just getting out of spawn with no ult. Lucio + Ana + rh + dva ulted. Lost it almost immediately. We ultimately had to defend the first point again for 6 minutes since we also used all of our time to cap two points. We lost with 2:30 to spare. I dont understand some people. Placement matches are overall bad, but regular matches can either be like cloud 9 or you're currently being sent feet first into a shredder. It's just agonizing. Once that happened, it was a 15 minute wait to lose.
So 3 posts in a row woo 6 straight games won, yay early day matches went from 2460 to 2800, ~rank 56 in S1 (If you're curious, divide your current rank by 50) Won my last game down 0-2 on Lijiang Tower, nerves were on the brink of being fried, out of desperation went Ana and some people went Torb and RH, and got 13 boost assists and won 3-2. @Skyrossm also 5k'd as a soldier.
The new map is so gah, first point is so easy to defend while past it is almost impossible, I've gotten 4 draws on it so far and it never gets past first point. Also KOTH maps are comeback kings (@Robokiller87)
Who is down for some quickplay today? Trying to get back into the game. I play Zen, Rein, Lucio, Mercy, and Zarya.
I've gotta do something for a lil' bit from like 7:30-8pm EST but after that im game. I gotta get better so I can carry god awful DPS-ers Im always matched w/ in competitive.
By the way We all know how awful steam support is, worse than calling some place's tech support and hearing classical music for 30 minutes Blizzard support is literally response same day, SEVERAL TIMES. They'll respond 3+ times if you continue to have an issue as long as you acknowledge it. Thought I'd say that in case anyone has ran into issues.
so I just played a comp game and the score was 4-4 but instead of a draw my team was awarded with a defeat? the reason why this happened was because the enemy pushed the payload a few more meters than us the second time around but the first time around we pushed way faster than them. I think its so stupid for my opponent to be awarded a victory for not even pushing the payload to the objective. Am I the only one who often finds myself frustrated with the design of competitive?
I haven't encountered draws enough to say anything about them. I only had 1 draw, nothing out of the ordinary in the finishing stats.
https://eu.battle.net/shop/en-us/product/overwatch-origins If you haven't bought the game yet its 20% off! or if you want to upgrade its about $10
By the way, for anyone looking to group up, I have no mic and I cannot hear anyone with a mic. Feelsbadman The issue most likely lies in the internet router provided by my college and they cannot open 20k outbound ports due to the data cap they have.
Spoiler: wtf Data cap? They actually have a limit before it slows down? I can sit for 6-8 hours on my college's wifi and I'd still have pretty damn good connection.
Bad news, I'm like a lost puppy. Good news, I don't have to hear anyone's bitching and moaning and they don't have to hear mine (but they'll have to read it )
You know what my favorite Overwatch pastime? Fishin with Roadhog xP. Maps like Ilios with the Well are the best maps to go fishin. Pretty much ANY map that allows you to easily hook someone and send them falling to their deaths
Spoiler: depressed So, I've started off this season so far out of 90 games played, 44% win rate. Went from 2798 to 2512. Until I can find what I had last season and in qp, a 55% win rate which is not easy to sustain, I won't be grouping with people, I won't be doing competitive, I'll stick to quick play. Hitting rank 50 essentially is something I haven't done since the first week of season 1. To think, I'm being put back there, is not only frustrating me maybe because of this medicine im on which hampers my mood, but impossible to comprehend. No matter what I do, no matter where I go, I run into people who throw as snipers, who cannot shoot for a kill as a mccree, cannot kill a tank as reaper, try to 'add' dps as genji or tracer, just play torbjorn hoping for the best, or CANNOT PUSH A CART TO FIRST CP WHEN WE ON DEFENSE HELD IT BEFORE FIRST CP. WE HAD. A TEAM. THAT COULDN'T. KILL A REAPER. WHO DROPS FROM THE TOP OF THE BRIDGE. ON GIBALTAR. AND ULTS PEOPLE. WE HAD THAT, LITERALLY WEEK 1 STRATEGY. Spoiler: result I've won 5 games in my last 23 played. Spoiler: fix I'm on the final month of a 5 month program which involves high amounts of vitamin A intake. Such a thing ruins my mood drastically. I was just upped to 40 mg from 30 mg twice daily, and seeing as I am on full tilt each time I play overwatch within the past 4 days (since I've started) and because I have no mic capabilities I'm probably not going to play it regularly until the medicine program is over.
