I think C4 should be taken out of the game. It is unreliable in terms of blast radius and is just unfair to other traitors. Especially in small maps. If a traitor is hunting an innocent and the innocent goes near a C4 the traitor now must leave. I don't see how C4 adds anything to the game. I would like to hear the communities thoughts on this matter.

    Thanks,

If a C4 is found and disarmed, anyone with a DNA scanner now knows who the traitor is. There may be excuses as to why I killed that inno, but there's no excuse to why I tried to blow up half the map. High-risk high-reward weapon. Also I can use it to make sure my t-buddies don't just camp the T-room all game

-1 bad idea c4 has its uses and if a traitor dies to a c4 its their fault. There is a visual indication of where it is and how long before it blows. It has a large blast radius as it is a bomb and the radius is just so more innos/detectives can fall victim to it.

I dislike C4 a lot, never use it and is annoying to see if you're a T. It needs to stay though a lot of other people like it and its a fun part of the game.

TTT is a game where you need cunning, guile, and stealth. Sometimes, committing crime right under a player's noses. However, if all innos group together and remain grouped, it can be difficult to simply outgun an entire pack in traditional deathmatch style. Some areas are also extremely defensible, and cannot be breached in normal ways safely. As Traitors are outnumbered, they have to use C4 to either thin out crowds, or more importantly, to deny access to particular areas.

C4's most important use is as an area of denial tool. More often than not, C4 doesn't kill, since players can hear it. Rather, it deters them from staying in an important area. Such as a defensible room, or a traitor tester. This is the most valuable tool that a Traitor can have. The risk of destruction in exchange for denying innos access to a very important area.

As long as TTT is a game where traitors are outnumbered, there needs to be special and effective tools for them to remain strong. Removing C4 would be removing one of the most valuable items in a Traitor's aresenal. There's only so much a harpoon, a death station, and a flare gun can do on their own. Unless you're clutch city, it's gonna be hard to really win T rounds without C4, or at least some form of effective, hard to trace area denial.

-1 I heavely disgree, C4 is one of the best elements of TTT, it creates panic and if done well, can be extremely rewarding.

But there are alternatives. There could be an incendiary type weapon that lasts for a long period of time which would deny access to an area without the potential to ruin other T's rounds.

The only way to successfully deter entry somewhere IS with death. Having an incendiary can kill a T buddy the same way a C4 can. And there's ALWAYS at least 45 seconds to be aware and get away from it. The most I would suggest is possibly posting a warning in chat, like there is for death stations and tripmines or something, but otherwise, it's a necessary risk. In fact, an incendiary could be even WORSE. Without a timing mechanism, it'd pop out quickly, and give most T buddies no time to react.

Otherwise though, it's mostly the player's fault if they get struck by C4. Plain and simple.

  11. In my opinion C4 should just be disabled on small maps or its blast radius should be reduced. Three well placed C4's should not have the potential of killing 90% of the people on clue if timed properly.

Killing 90% of the people you say? Thats the good part of c4 place it at the right place and time you can get a lot of kills the point of c4 is to kill a lot or a few players depending on how lucky you are on clue theres a spot towards the back of the map where almost no c4 hits you can only hit you if they place it in plain sight or in the 1-2-3 rooms enar you all of which are hard to hide it in.

There should just probably be limits on how many can be placed at the same time or how many one person can buy/plant at the same time.

I'm saying this only because there is one popular map in particular (don't know the name, but it has that light switch and everyone spawns in the entrance room with the rug underneath and 2 light-thingies that are T traps above) where there is very little space to move around and so many C4s being planted that sometimes it's just frustratingly annoying and sucks the fun out of the game because of how much power that single tool is. Unlike larger maps where the C4s are more balanced in the task they accomplish and the results they bring.

In regards to the comments twords small maps: C4 was an item in Vanilla TTT. If the maps, (which mind you, have TTT_ in front of their names, so they're made for this gamemode.) are too small, then the bad design goes to the maps. NOT the C4. C4 is a constant. The maps are the variables that change. If a map is poorly designed, or too small to allow innos to effectively run from C4, then that is the fault of the map.

Either way, I still do NOT support any removal or nerfing of C4. It's very important to the game. But hey, if you want my advice when it comes to surviving C4?

I disagree. Its a traitors fault if they get killed by it as it is massively avoidable. It adds a great dynamic to traitor rounds that when used with skill can be devastating for Innos.

    -1 from me.
