I've been a PC gamer for a year or two now, used to be a competitive console gamer (urgh, i'd never go back) and i'm really looking for some fun games to play; single player or multiplayer?I have only really played DayZ, CS:GO and GMOD. Can people give me some ideas pleasee?
Could possibly be moved to "Gaming" but we shall see! Left4Dead 2 is a really fun multiplayer game to play with friends, currently my friends and I are trying to tackle every level on advanced mode - very frustrating but satisfying
Sid Meier’s Civilization® VI http://store.steampowered.com/app/289070/ Civilization is a good PC game you should check it out
Far cry 3/4 (Single/multi), Skyrim (Singleplayer), and the Borderlands series (Single/multi) are all fun.
I don't know what genres you're looking for, but if you're specifically looking for games specific to PC, I have a few recommendations that some will have never heard of. The original Cave Story - A cult classic freeware platformer. It eventually gets to be tough as nails. Afraid of Monsters - A cult classic HL1 survival horror total conversion mod. Made by ruMpel, who would then go on to make Cry of Fear. UnderHell - A very story heavy, and very well made survival horror mod for Source Engine 2007. Sven Coop - A multiplayer HL1 mod that ascended to standalone. Full of chaos, hilarity, and snarks, if you can find a server with players. It also has some of the strangest custom maps in existence... Touhou - Bullethell by which all bullethells are measured against. The series is known for: bullets, nonsensical plot-lines, bullets, god awful spaghetti-leg sausage-finger art style, bullets, music, and bullets. (Did I mention it has bullets?) Dwarf Fortress - Text/Tile rougelike, dorf themed. It's worldgen is something of legend. You can either take control of a dwarven settlement in Fortress mode, or you can wander the lands vanquishing foes in Adventurer mode. This game is also the origin of the epic tragedy of Boatmurdered. Cataclysm: Dark Days Ahead - Text/Tile rougelike, zombie apocalypse themed. Unforgiving to new players, but once you get in the hang of things, you will find yourself living longer and doing strange things. One of very few games where you can weld a tank cannon and v12 engine onto a unicycle, and drive it around wearing a dinosaur costume and firing lasers out of your mutated, cybernetically modified hands... while drunkenly honking a bike horn and eating pretzels from the minifridge you welded onto your one-wheeled death machine. Space Station 13: Tile based multiplayer game built on a really strange engine. Akin to TTT only 2D, in space, overly complicated, and zany. (On a laid-back server like Yogstation, you may find yourself bludgeoning a space-clown to death with a toolbox, being turned into a cyborg by a rouge AI, fending off space carp, and having the station be destroyed because a monkey got sucked out an airlock in such a way that its corpse was propelled at high speeds into one of the singularity containment field generator's pylons. All in one round.)
The list will be endless! I like to dig up some old games from the passed I used to play like: Rollercoaster tycoon 1+2 Knights & Merchants Age of Mythology or some fun games that are on steam now are: 8-bit armies ARK: survival and yes: golf with your friends
I've been playing Gremlins Inc at the moment. It's like a boardgame with up to 4 players. Enjoyable once you get into it Nice ice breaker from all the shooter games.
