I think to have a Cringe Rating will cause Drama and it's not going to be a positive thing to add to this community.

the dumb rating itself already causes drama within the community but the staff keeps a close eye to those who abuse it so an extra rating won't hurt anybody

I know people say ratings don't matter, but when you rate something dumb it's legit a pure insult. You're just saying that person is dumb, it's really toxic imo, cringe rating would just make it worse.

You're saying the post is dumb, not the person, necessarily. But I can see your perspective. People will always feel offended.

 

If only there were a rating to express disagreement.

 

Anyways, there's a lot of ratings that we could benefit from adding. I personally think that although I wouldn't mind this rating, there are others I would prefer to see implemented first.

We already have dumb. What's next, the "you're a piece of shit" rating? I can't think of a situation that cringe and dumb wouldn't be interchangeable

 

Hence the "imo" part. I guess it isn't saying that the person is dumb. At least for me, I don't get offended. It's more getting pissed because when you post something and someone "says" it's dumb it makes me think that guy is an asshole for not even trying to understand my point of view. They're essentially saying you're stupid for saying or thinking that.And if you know that it could offend them, why would youfucking do it?
