I should be unbanned cause i have no idea what i did that was considered METAGAMING. I was doing what i always do as a T and i wasnt doing anything with anyone that wasnt a inno/detective​

Before I show my evidence I must apologize for the way the video is cut off at the sides as I was recording earlier and had Dxtory set to 1280 x 960 Resolution.

On to the reason why I banned you and SkeletonKing for metagaming. I had been sitting in spectator mode all map as there were numerous players Mic Spamming, setting props in the water (Map was community pool), and using props to block doors. What caught my attention was skeleton shouting over his mic "I'm holding the door! Break the tester!" I found that weird so I rushed to spectate you two the next round and this is what I found:

The videos are short as I had to deal with players attempting to prop kill but that was all I needed. These two along with the round that made me spectate you two in the first place show you destroying the traitor tester multiple rounds, that is committing a traitorous act, and him not killing you for it because you two thought it would be fun to break the tester every round. That is metagaming.

Initially, I found it harsh to ban for metagaming so I talked with @Steven | SP to get permission to warn you both for it, however as I was doing so you two did it again the next round and so I got permission to go ahead with the bans.

This is the second time you're facing a Metagaming ban, I'd like to hear the reasons behind your actions and why I should accept this appeal?

ummm can i use this as a ban appeal as well since me and him were banned for the exact same reasoning and the video just shows us two breaking the tester. nothing more ( breaking the tester is not stated as mettagaming, but instead stated as a traitor act)

I'm not sure where the logic in this ban is here, a mirror image of this would be me as an inno or a t walking around with a t weapon out and every person I walk past not killing me, so since it's a t act to have a t weapon out should any people that ignore me and not kill me for having it out be banned also for meta gaming ?

Yes indeed breaking the tester is a traitorous act, however what makes it metagaming is that Skeleton assisted in rebel committing this act by blocking the door so no one else can witness him break it and hence kos him for it. He is allowing traitorous acts to be committed and protecting the person who is doing it because they thought it would be fun.

Just for an actual definition of what we consider gaming, below is from our extended rules:

Metagaming: This is known as game throwing, aiding the enemy team in some way. In other words playing TTT the way it is not meant to be played. An example of this but not limited too; letting an innocent into the Traitor room and you two not killing each other but they kill any other traitor in the T room. This is very situational and it is left up to an admin on whether the people in question should be punished.

As far as your example goes chaos, that is the reason why there is no set rule for it or why you don't see it happening, me banning them for this was based on an admin's discretion. It would be extremely harsh to ban anyone who ignored a player with a traitor weapon for metagaming, but as you see here they committed exactly the definition of metagaming intentionally and are protecting each other. Here's an example of what could happen: A player witnesses them covering for each other breaking the tester and koses them both, they are killed for it, they turn out to be innocent (which was the case in the first video) and that player now gets killed for false kos and then an rdm train ensues and players suffer loss of karma because these two thought it would be fun to take away a tool used to catch traitors.

 

woah even if that its not like none of us gut killed after what we did, each time we did do it either i held off and killed anyone that tried to get close or like the last time when i was a D i was just closing the door as the explosions went off (why i started laughing so much XD that scared the shit out of me cx )
but any other time i died then the innos ran in killing rebel as he sat afk eating his food XD. its not like we got away with our actions either one of us died by an innos hand.

 

After some discussion with some of the admins we've decided to accept both of your appeals. In the future I ask that you realise that your actions, as fun as they may seem, can have a huge effect on the other players on the servers. If there's anything more you two would like to add feel free to message me on the forums. You'll both be unbanned within the hour.
