Reason For Report:

hansila reported me for killing him after he killed someone, and I found DNA on that person, as someone instructed me to do so. Last I checked, having DNA means "You may kill that person." I did not have time to check the body, since whenever you go into ID something, the traitor almost always shoots you.

He killed someone.
He was not proven, nobody but himself said he was proven.

Guilty slayed me regardless. People have done this multiple times, and nothing has happened. I would like to see the section in the rules that says "DNA is only valid if the person that it's from is innocent."

Killing people, regardless, is a traitorous act. If DNA points to someone, then that confirms they killed them. There is no section in the rules that says "DNA is only valid if you check first to see if it's innocent."
How was I supposed to know if it was off a traitor or innocent, without getting shot? After asking "Why do I have DNA on you?" He said "Check the body", this being a common trick that traitors use to kill people with an opening, I decided to open fire.



This is unacceptable behavior from someone ranked so highly in your servers. He did not bother to question, and just instantly applied a slay as if I killed him for no reason.​

And as I informed you, you got DNA off of @Owned 's body during that round. Owned was a traitor during that round, who was killed 40 seconds before you actually killed @hansila . As a result, you had no reason to kill him especially when hansila did not commit a traitorous act during that period of time. I will be providing the images as soon as I can, but I am currently training my Trial Mod at the moment.

You cannot kill players off of DNA if the DNA is off of a traitor's body. Acting and kill a player off of that would be RDM. This has been an established rule on our servers for a while as I've told you. I have provided my response and now my lead will finish this off.

You say the player shot someone and you're right, he did shoot someone. He shot and killed a traitor roughly 40 seconds before you killed him. He id'd the body a few seconds afterwards. Your reasoning is that he shot someone. However, the victim he killed was proven to be a traitor a while before you acted on it. Since he id'd the body, it showed up that he id'd and killed a traitor. You cannot kill someone off of that reason anymore as it has been far more than 5 seconds since he committed the act (5 second grace period). Had you killed him within 5 seconds after committing the act, you would be fine. You tried to use DNA as a reason, but like I said, you got DNA off of a traitor's body and acted on that DNA. You didn't check the body to see whether it was innocent or traitor and as a result, this is why you were slain. Hope you understand.

No, my reasoning is that I had DNA because someone told me to get DNA, which then pointed to him. I did not have time to check his body, as when you do, people usually shoot you, especially if DNA dings so close to you.

I was just saying that he shot someone, which is still KOSable, if you don't know if that person is a traitor or not AND that person says "Yes, I shot him" (Which was already known BY DNA)

Anyway, my main point is I was unaware that he was a traitor, and all I knew is that DNA pointed to him, who was very close, who just said "check the body" after questioning why he had DNA. He did not say "This person that I killed is a traitor", only "check the body"

Having already grounds to shoot him, I decided to take it as I have learned not to take the risk.

Please give me the section in the rules where it says you can be slain for this.
Or do admins get to invent their own rules to what they see fit?

 

1) you should still always check the body before actually taking the DNA instead of taking it without thinking.
2) you're correct. Shooting another player is traitorous, but if the player killed was proven to be a traitor and more than 5 seconds had passed since the traitor's death and body being id'd, then you cannot act on it since it's past the 5 second grace period.

 

First off, how was I supposed to know that I can't kill if I have DNA, regardless since it isn't listen in the rules, like I've repeatedly asked for the documentation that states that.

Now then, I did think a lot before shooting him, which is why I asked "Why do I have DNA on you?", to which he replied "Check the body" while pointing a gun at me. If he had faced in another direction, this would've gone differently. I've learned from multiple occasions that if someone tells you to ID a body with a gun pointed at you, or even look in another direction, that person is 99/100 times a traitor who can't aim looking for a chance to shoot.

But just trying to redirect me when I believed that I had valid reason to kill him currently without even saying "he's a traitor", that gives me more than enough reason to suspect him as a traitor.
Since I already thought I had grounds to kill him, I decided to act on this.
DNA pointed to him, I have him a chance to explain himself, he did not do so without making me almost certain he was a traitor (I mean, I had DNA and he tried to, in my eyes and through some of the skepticism you get from this game) redirect me and distract me.) I had grounds to kill him from the DNA, so he got the shiny end of my jackhammer.

If anything is chance in ttt, u cant argue against it because that is rdm. that is like yelling at ur dog for something ur cat did.

 

Guilty is right in this situation; you cannot kill off DNA if the DNA has been taken from a traitor's body. If you could, then there would be no point for Innocent players to kill Traitors if Detectives are just going to come kill them anyway.

What Guilty said in his initial post is correct, and what you did warrants a slay.
