Hey guys, I am curious about everyone in the forum. What is your favorite anime or manga series? I have many animes that I love but my favorite ones are One Piece, Naruto, Himouto Umaru, and Niskoi. lol I have so many xD hehe. Post your favorites below
I don't really watch anime/read manga anymore. Last time I watched one was maybe fall of last year haha. but there's a few that I could easily rewatch/read any day, and those are my top five. Anime 1. Zetsuen no Tempest 2. Shiki 3. Puella Magi Madoka Magica 4. Princess Tutu 5. Zankyou no Terror Manga 1. Tokyo Ghoul 2. Liar Game 3. Oyasumi Punpun 4. Berserk
Hmmm, favorite anime/manga? Where to start considering I've been watching a lot of anime since I was in 7th grade. So to start with my favorite series, they go as followed below. Note that they aren't in exact order since there's so many. 1) Yu Yu Hakusho 2) Clannad 3) One Piece (manga only) 4) Naruto (manga only. screw the anime fillers) 5) Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso (Your Lie in April) 6) Akame ga Kill 7) Tokyo Ghoul (both regular and :Re for Manga) 8) Nisekoi 9) Date A Live 10) Fate/Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works 11) Fate/Zero 12) Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei (the Irregular in High School) 13) Grisaia no Rakuen (NSFW for many scenes, but hilarious) 14) Fairy Tail (manga only) 15) Rave Master (manga only. Anime never went that far). Notable mentions (shame their light novels are so fantastic for many of them) 1) Black Bullet (Light Novel only. Anime was meh) 2) Sword Art Online (Light Novel. Anime was alright, but not my favorite) 3) Tales of Symphonia 4) Soul Eater (ending for both manga and anime were meh) These are my list. There's so much more, but I just haven't had a chance to compile my favorite list of anime and manga.

Anime: 1: Evangelion. Can't even describe what this means to me. Original series and End of Evangelion movie. Not the reboots. I put this show on a pedestal above anything else, the purest artistic medium I have ever seen expressing real people and real suffering. The only thing that has ever really made me feel relatable to anything or anyone/like I could belong somewhere. This is the most special thing to me, very personal and important. 2: Gintama Weird juxtaposition of comedy and action/drama. Like two different parallel universes of how the story could have gone/be told, combining into some weird thing that makes no sense and hits hard. Really weird. Makes me laugh, makes me cry. Unique style of comedy, also pretty relatable in a weird way. Watched most of it while eating instant ramen with cut of sausages my grandma sent me, and drinking Asahi. Pretty weird time in my life, very dramatic and depressing, but Gintama helped. 3: Hunter x Hunter (2011) Watched it all during the peak of my lapse of drug-induced psychosis this summer. Re-watching it now with my woman. Really really love it. Probably the most excited I've been to ever re-watch anything. 4: Azumanga Daioh Pretty much dropped out of highschool while watching this and excessively drinking bottles of cough syrup daily to escape my reality. Lots of fun, loveable characters. I'm sure most of the jokes are entirely lost because of the language barrier/being lost in translation, but it's the kind of thing that doesn't really matter because we all just end up dying anyways. Very dear to me, I hardly ever find myself forming an attraction to anime girls, but Sakaki got my heart a little (and Osaka, too). 4: Yu Yu Hakusho 5: Welcome to the NHK 6: Gurren Lagann 7: Trigun Manga: 1: Gantz It took me a couple years after finishing the anime to realize that there was more to it and continue on by reading the manga. After that, I then spent another couple years waiting for new issues to release every month. I remember when I first started reading the manga, I had 3 days off school, 5 packs of cigarettes, and nothing to do at age 16, so I just stayed in my room chainsmoking and reading Gantz in bed, I was also mildly depressed at the time because my dumb ex-girlfriend was a pain to be with, and Gantz kind of just took my mind off everything and made me happy. Really love Gantz. 2: Berserk That rape scene hit me too hard, I try to not re-visit that memory. I'm pretty used to things like that, but it was the emotions and confusing sexual tension in it all that just really broke me. Good manga, though. Hate the fairy, hate the kids. Adding comedic relief to the story through boring, useless characters, was a bad decision. Still waiting for this goddamn thing to end. Lost a lot of interest in it from the huge wait for new chapters, but I still have fond memories. 3: JoJo's Bizarre Adventure
Anime: Kaze No Stigma (;-; why'd you have to die author) Dragon Ball Z Manga: Link: Ocarina Of Time Dragon Ball (z) Fullmetal Alchemist Fairy Tail
Anime 1. Rakudai Kishi no Cavalry 2. Overlord 3. Durarara!! 4. Mondaiji-tachi ga Isekai kara Kuru Sou Desu yo? (Needs a second season though :\) 5. Fate/Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works Manga 1. Gate: Jieitai Kanochi nite, Kaku Tatakaeri 2. Himouto! Umaru-chan 3. Sora no Otoshimono
I have a lot of anime's in which I have watched and liked I will list them below in no particular order. I haven't really had the time to read manga as it just takes up to much of my time, but I am hoping during holidays I will have time to read some. I think that my favourite animes that I have watched are Log Horizon, Tokyo Ghoul, Death Note (The first half of the anime) and Gate. I do really like Rokka- Braves of the six flowers because it has so many plot twists. Corpse Party Stranger: Mukou Hadan Cowboy Bebop GTO Mushishi Barakamon Out of the 154 series/movies/ovas watched. Can never narrow it down to 10, but I can do it to 5. As for manga, y'all wouldn't be interested. Honestly. All you need to know is Yotsubato! is literally A+.
Oh my god we're gonna do this? Hell yeah Anime 1. Plastic Memories (if you want to cry that is) 2. Kokoro Connect 3. Seitokai Yakuindomo 4. Hyperdimension Neptunia <-- quite niche don't watch if not interested 5. K-On! And then there's Kodomo no Jikan. This one is slightly controversial because of the way it is portrayed, but if you're open minded I suggest giving it a shot. The ones I have mentioned above I am surprised no one has mentioned before. Well as for manga the only one I've read was Ao Haru Ride so... Enjoyed it, but frustrating to read at certain parts.
I recently watches all of Kill La Kill and "Is it Wrong to Pick up Chicks in a Dungeon" and both were just amazing. I recommend them both to anyone and everyone. As far as Managa i really havent read any since high school but the last one was Fruits Basket and i enjoyed it.
I rarely watch anime and dislike most, but SquidGirl and Sailormoon are super cute. Same with Himouto umaru & Nisekoi Spoiler: ah What'd you think was gonna happen ? me too babe, me too. same ship ship ship ship ship otp ship
