Why you should be unbanned:

this was done via voice chat I kosed a guy atleast 5 times before I was rdmed by a inno but anyways later in the round the D asked if there was any kos on anyone and I pmed him that I called a kos on him at the start of the round and to kill him I was banned for ghosting even though I clearly stated the kos via voice chat plus I love TTT favorite non ebloa/cancer server out there so plz unban me I have 60 + hours ;-;​

As the person who submitted the report, I do believe that I am involved, to an extent, in this appeal.

I do not recall asking if there were any KOSes on anyone, I remember saying "Either you or the other guy is a traitor, I only see 2 blips on my radar." In which you whispered me, and I started to know who to look for. I knew he had a master chief skin from seeing him around so much, so I kept an eye out for one. I saw one shooting down the hall with an MP7 hiding near a pile of bodies, Knew it was him in disguise, thanks to the hint you gave me, but he then got destroyed by his own C4.

The only thing that picture shows is you whispering me, then me visually considerably later in the game finding his body. Which means 2 different posibilities.

He was not yet dead, meaning you ghosted to me who an alive traitor is (which you did)
He was dead, but I was not aware of the fact yet.

The prior information changed the game, as you gave me a target to look for, and is therefore ghosting.

The only thing that picture shows is your guilt. Appeals are meant to refute your 'guilt', especially with an offense like this, with innocence.

I would just like to end on that.

 

Good Evening! As you know you were banned for ghosting. You are saying what you did was not ghosting because you had stated it before you died. Unfortunately, you seem to lack of full understanding of what ghosting is on our servers and how it applies in this scenario.

The important thing here is "they are not yet aware of". In both your account and @DarmaniLink's account the Detective (Darmani) was obviously not aware of 2 things:
1) Who the traitor was.
2) If there was a KOS called.

You then sent this line of text using in-game private chat, which is defined in the MOTD as third party chat.


This one line of chat gave the Detective 3 pieces of information you knew he was not aware of at that time:
1) That there was a KOS
2) Who the KOS was called on
3) Who called the KOS

I realize how frustrating it is when you call a voice or text KOS and noone seems to hear it or act on it. I've had plenty of times raging at my monitor "LOOK UP IN CHAT! YOU'RE JUST STARING AT HIM!" but it's a fact of the game that not everyone pays attention to everything at once and if that causes them to lose the round then they lost through lack of attention skills. By giving someone information they might not be aware of, you are giving that player the advantage (or disadvantage if the information is false) in the round that they should not have had and thus change the outcome of who wins the round. That isn't fair for the other player, which is why the rule of ghosting is in place.

Your ban is local and I can see from your stats that you have played plenty of time on West and Vanilla, so feel free to play either of those or any other server until your ban expires. I hope you will learn from this and have gained a better understanding of what ghosting is and we won't have this situation happen again. Thank you for appealing.
