Hey, thanks for looking at this thread. So I was looking at D&D stories and thought " woah, this would be cool to play with people" so I was wondering if people would want to play if we were able to get an online D&D game. It would be my first time playing so I wouldn't be teaching people it but maybe some other people could. Post below what you would think of it. I will edit any of the new links I find talking about it ASAP. http://onlinedungeonmaster.com/2010/04/ http://laughingsquid.com/roll20-a-customizable-online-dungeons-dragons-platform/ Go ahead and share what you think and go ahead and add new links if you find any.
I've always wanted to get into this, but I wanted friends to play with. I'd love to get this going in our community!
I don't have the space in my life right now for DMing another campaign, although I MIGHT manage to squeeze in space as a player. I DM a Pathfinder game once a week, and play in a Savage Worlds game as it is. However, having DMed something like ten full campaigns of it now (primarily 3/3.5 though) I can offer advice and resources, at the very least.
Due to some family issues I will not be able to play for a while, so I will join in later bit if people want to set it up and play go ahead!
I just found this. So I will read up and play a bit of it. It is all 2nd edition from when my dad was in college. Me and my friends will play a bit and see if I can try to fix a game up.
I might play, I do D&D weekly as is, I've only DM'd once and I'm okay with it I just find it not as fulfilling as being a player. I've primarily played Pathfinder and 3.5, debating on doing a 5th edition campaign with a few friends but I digress I may be into this. <3
I heard 3.5 is the most well received and balanced of editions. I was thinking that would be a fun one to start.
5th Edition D&D is the most well rounded so far from what I've heard, other then that Pathfinder is far more balanced then 3.5 but 3.5 is still pretty great.
I play and host d&d games online with fantasy grounds. It is a free virtual table top program. If any one shows interest, I would be happy to host a game for you all.
Pathfinder > 3.5 almost exclusively. I stand by this, given the sheer number of loopholes they closed and the interesting flavors they gave to base characters (Oracle or sorcerer is so fun to build.)
@Batman47 if you will host it we have a complete game set up so over then next couple of days we can figure out when we will play.
