I legit have no idea why I was banned, I am honestly more posting this to figure out why exactly, I went offline after being slayed and came back to find myself banned for two weeks.​

Thanks for taking the time to make a ban appeal today.

I banned you for Second Offense of RDM and Leave because you did not stay for the entire duration of your slay.
But this is what happened.
Acer messaged me and said you had RDMed him, so I reported you for the accused RDM

Since I didn't really get an answer about the damage given to acer I pm'ed you twice during the next round and didn't get any acknowledgement until you were slain.

As you can see you left immediately. Which following rules and protocol lead me to Ban you for your second offense.

When you are slain you have to stay until the end of the round to fully serve your slay. Or else it can lead to Ban.
I also advise to respond to reports explaining your side the situation.
It can also be good measure to ask the staff online if you have any pending slays or reports and if you're good to leave.

As Rek you are only banned on West 2 at the moment and can play on any other SGM server.

Why..? I'm going to be brutally honest here, that is the most stupidest thing I have ever heard. If I'm slain, I cannot participate in the round and that's sorta the end of. Why must I stay on the server if I'm not playing or rather have to be punished further when I was already slain for the offense. It seems rather counterproductive to put another punishment on for just simply leaving the server. I cannot reasonably understand why this is a rule, at all.

As for why I damaged him, he had been shooting another user and had used a T Teleport, I decided to take him down as I was unaware of why he had used the T Portal and why he was shooting the person, and therefore deemed him to be traitor. As for why I stated the statement, it's because Acer hadn't stated anything to me or made a report, which he is fully capable of doing on his own with an admin present as far as I'm aware of, so I figured it was a non-issue and was waiting on Acer to report.

 

Best explanation of it I've ever heard is this:
When you were a child, you got put into time out for taking something away from someone else right? Or if you weren't personally, I'm sure you understand that concept.
So you RDM someone, take away their round, then you stay the whole round for the slay because you are in "time out," so to say.
If you leave early from the timeout, you are punished further.
Make sense?

 

Not at all really. If you are already slain, you have lost that round. If you are a traitor, you lost even harder.
The significance of putting someone in "time out" when they have already been punished doesn't make that much sense. Let alone when the punishment for simply leaving the server during a slay-round is a 14 day ban. You are effectively equating someone who kills another person and is already punished is the same as someone who comes in and shoots a person and disconnects during the round. Another thing is I didn't even kill Acer, so how that is RDM is another thing entirely.

First I would like to talk about the RDM. And I do have to say any damage given to a player without a justifiable reason is RDM.
As I said acer had pmed me telling me you RDMed him I then scanned the logs and saw this:

And after seeing that in the logs I filed the report against you. In fact staff members are always scanning the logs for any RDM. Even though it may seem harsh, and you and your friends are just having fun. It can lead to others not having such a great time. Like lowering fellow players Karma which leads to them causing less damage and a possible ban from the server if it gets to bad. But back to the report,
Acer wasn't firing any shots around this time, as you can see in the Damage information section.
We were on 67thway at the time and there are no T teleporters besides the one's they can buy in T shop

As shown above, no T or D bought a teleporter that round before you had hit acer with a knife. You can also see acer never damaged another player or was in a gunfight with another player for the entire round, until you knifed him. So I say the slay was still justified.

Now to why a slain player has to slay for the entire duration of the slay.
You are being slain essential because you ruined another players round.
Is it not fair you have to sit out for a round in return.
Now if you leave without sitting out the entire slay round aren't you just getting out of it, in the end. But does it really matter.
Yes. You ruined another players round got punished for it but then didn't stay for the punishment.
Rules are set in place so people are held accountable for there actions.

The reason the ban length may seem long is because it is a second offense across multiple servers. There are multiple ways to avoid a ban. And of course appealing a ban to get shortened, revoked and voided.

Once again you do not have to kill a player for it to be RDM. Any unjustifiable damage given to a player is RDM. Even accidental damage given, like misclicks, are RDM.

In conclusion
I will be Denying this appeal due to it being your Second Offense in a month. The clear RDM you did on acer for no justifiable reason and the reasons you stated here in your appeal do not match what was happening that round.

Respond to reports with detailed description of what happened.
