True Scary Stories

Post a Sp0oky Story(s) here, and I'm saying this now, we want real stories not some fake crap. They could be Ghost stories, monster stories, or any scary cringe stories. People should have some real stuff to say:

I was in the living room and it was shy before midnight. Everyone was asleep, due to my crazed addiction to video games, I would stay up all the nights I could. I had all the lights off for atmospheric purposes, and I don't get scared at all, but seriously for the love of f**king god that something scared the living s**t out of me that it's scarred me for life. I was sitting on the couch fustrated, since I had no skill in the game I was playing, when I felt a feminine hand land on my right shoulder, the one facing the hallway. I assumed it was my mother's, so I said "Hey Mom" and continued to play the game until I felt it land on my other shoulder, the one facing the wall, impossible to reach. Then I felt a sudden jerk and I flew up to the wall. I dropped my controller due to shock ( I still had my headphones on ) and I felt as I was being ridden of all my air in all of my body. I was continuously being pulled up against the wall until I reached for my neck. The force let go and I dropped to the couch almost crying.

Swear to god this is true. I'm okay with telling this since it has been a long time since it happened ( I was about 9). Post yours down there.

 

Ok this isn't as scary of a story but I digress. So well as a kid and even to this day there has been this spirit that would help me. Well last night at a church event we were talking about demons and he stated how "good" spirits go to heaven and "Ok" spirits go to purgate and demons stay on the earth. Now remember that spirit. I almost cried last night when we talked about that. Just about the scariest moment I know.

 

It's like it wants you to trust it..

 

I know I used to trust it until last night although I suspect that it what ever it is won't like that.

 

I once had a snapping turtle on the loose in my house while home alone.

 

Honestly screw you Zypther. That was the scariest shit that ever happened to me in my whole life.

Got my first erection (that I can remember, at least) talking to the ghost of this little dead girl when I was about 5 or whatever. Then again I have a bunch of bullshit memories of things that never happened, so...

The only really scary/ghost stories I have are probably pretty nsfw. I guess I don't really know what nsfw is on here, but recently I fell into a month long lapse of drug addiction induced psychosis on a substance which produces certain aspects of schizophrenia as an effect, and some pretty scary stuff happened during that, I guess. Could post maybe as long as it's not like... promoting the use of drugs, which it definitely is not. Idk, idk, idk.

Also have some sleep paralysis stories I've posted on here once or twice. I believe there is a "Scariest thing that's ever happened to you" thread, or something of the sort already in existence.

 

Spoiler: STTT Horror Story

 

Tbh I saw this and I was excited to read so many stories. Then I see that most of the replies to this thread aren't stories. I'm extremely dissapointed and sad

 

Allow me to provide you all with a story full of oddities and eeriness.

THIS ONE TIME AT BAND CA-

This one time at summer camp, about... 5-6 years ago, I was a counselor-in-training and watching over the kids us counselors were assigned to. We had a bitch ass swamp pond full of junk like paddle boats in the furthest area of the summer camp by some woods. The loudest kid of the bunch always tried to catch 'non-existent fish' (There was probably 5-7 fish in a pond as big as an average size corner lot house property) with the rest of the kids using flimsy fishing poles and corn. This one day during the week, that kid blew my ears off and I never heard again. All I saw was him freaking out over the fact he caught a one eyed catfish. However, this catfish wasn't just one eyed, it was also pregnant. All the other kids gathered around it like some sort of treasure, and then it gave birth onto the dock. The counselor who I was grouped with (probably like 18-21 at the time) picked up that catfish afterwards and threw it towards one of the paddle boats and he actually nailed it. The birth was pushed back into the pond. As I recovered from the kid being a bitch, I just smh.

As for the eerie story, that same week in the same area as the pond I follow the kids with the counselor into the woods area just to fuck about. After about 5 minutes of walking around, we came across a tent. Strange to see a tent so near a children's summer camp. We explored it to find no one was there, but there was some rather... interesting finds. The tent had a rope hanging from a branch, but not a noose. Next to the tent was a blood stained machete. Inside the tent was clothing full of literal shit. The kids all ran away, I just stood there watching counselor who was just as stunned pick up the machete. Everyone was wondering if there was some crazy dude roaming the woods. The machete was carefully taken back to the Head Counselor's office while the kids were all surrounding him amazed by it. Cops came and all the pizzazz.

Gotta say, an interesting summer to say the least. During the same summer, nearly broke my neck hopping out of a golf cart. Turned out I face planted the ground when I left the golf cart and did a spin and landed upright on my feet unscathed.

I have hobos living in my backyard woods story, but that'll be for later.

 

i was about to post "a scary story? my life" but now i'd feel guilty if i posted that.

butts in a seriousness, scariest thing to ever happen to me:
this was about 2-3 years ago. me and my little sisters were home alone (go figure) while our parents were out on their anniversary dinner and we were just watching tv in the kitchen. (Keep in mind i was about 13 at the time and my sisters were 8 and 4) then out of the corner of our eyes, we see this flash come from the window in the kitchen and naturally we're like WTF. we decided to just stare at the window, yet nothing happened. when we decided to give up and start watching tv again, the random flashes of light started again. this time we went to the window to investigate, of course we were about 10 feet away with a broom, but just kind of peeked thru the open parts of the blinds. if you read up till this point thank you, and continue. naturally we didn't see anything happen once again, and after about 10 minutes of just standing there we decide to turn around and go back to the tv. however when we turned around, a flash of light appeared again, but this time with a loud banging sound. At this point we ran upstairs (i turned off the tv first cuz energy wasting) into my room and just huddled together. we're the type of people to easily get distracted so once we started watching some youtube on my laptop, we naturally forgot about the whole incident.

then at around midnight, we heard a knock from my window.
i'd also like to point out my room's on the second story of my house and unless you had a ladder. at first we thought, oh it's probably our parents throwing a rock or something to open the door. we look out the window, they're not there, no one's there. we decided to dismiss it as just us being still spooked about the flashing light incident. then we heard full out knocking from my window again, and it sounded like something was banging against it. after we heard that, we speedy gonzalez'ed our way to our older sister's room (who was on a vacation with friends at the time) and just huddled together once again.

the freakiest part was as we left my room, a flash of light, the same one as before, flashed through the window. we don't know what it was, we suspected it was our parents, but they didn't arrive till 3 hours later.

needless to say, we're terrified to be home alone again.

 

UPDATE: well I had my first case of sleep paralysis last night I also could not sleep through out the night. When I had the sleep paralysis there was something on my throat yet I had nothing there. It felt like someone punched me and the breath was knocked out of me. It lasted about a minute and after that I would here little tinks of metal. I still can't decide if it was my dog or whatever attacked me or something. This is the most activity I've had.

 

oh my goodness I've heard so many stories of that happening! Never want to experience it O_O

Hello 2014!

 

At one of my old houses we had a painting that was of a little girl sitting in a field with a basket of oranges, and was painted by an inmate on death row (presumably of one his victims, or so we like to think), and strange things used to happen:

- Once when all of my sisters and I were sitting in a room the door slammed shut when no one was near it
- When a photographer went to take photographs of our house his camera wouldn't work in the area around the picture (at the top of the stairs which lead to the rest of the house) and his camera actually stopped working so eventually so he had to call it quits before the job was finished

The painting was eventually moved to my dad's studio apartment in a different place where:
- His friend could hear a little girl giggling when he was sleeping over there alone
- My sister claims she also saw tiny handprints appear on the wall while she was in the shower

Of course these could all be bullshit, while I'm not one to believe in this sort of stuff, it makes you think...

Pretty much for as far back as I can remember, I would wake up in the middle of the night and could see those things in my room, anywhere from 1 to about 6, just standing there. Some nights I would just huddle under my blanket hoping they would disappear, which they wouldn't and I could feel their presence. So every single night, if I wasn't already in my parents room from the start, I would try to quietly sneak pass them on the way to my parents room, which was just across the hall, the whole time seeing these figures just standing there in my room, in the hallway, and in my parents room. And other nights I would just run to their room without looking around, just concentrating on getting to that bed where it was safe.

If that wasn't bad enough I would also sometimes have the walls move away from me, as I walked closer to them, they would get further away. So in an attempt to get to my parents room, it would feel like I would walk miles just to move a couple feet. One night, in an attempt to see if it was actually happening or not, I kept walking towards the wall to see if I could reach it, it ended with me getting some thumbtacks stuck in my foot from a cork board that my mom had on the ground for pictures.

Out of all those nights, there is one that I will never forget, and that's the night one started to move. Right outside my room at that time there were stairs to the right as you left my room, and my parents door was to the left. So I walked outside, and looked down the stairs like an idiot, and saw one slowly crawling up the stairs on all fours, I got freaked and ran back to my bed, a few seconds later I checked it again, it was half way up the stairs and still moving and so I ran back to my bed again, finally on the last time it was right at my door, so I grabbed it, and threw it down the stairs, the fact that I actually made contact with something made me even more freaked out as I finally ran into my parents room. That morning, my mom asked me if I knew why the laundry basket at the bottom of the stairs was messed up (she folded them and forgot them at the bottom of the stairs the night before).

So yeah, that's probably the scariest part of my life, and it lasted until I was 13. I saw them the most at my moms house, but a few would be seen at other houses that I slept over at sometimes.
