Why you should be unbanned:

Because you guys dont listen to both sides of the story, and i know im not gonna be unbanned, but because i was holding down my mic button cause I WAS TALKING, and than i shift+Tab'd and it stayed on WITHOUT ME KNOWING, a friend of mine told me it was stil on so right away i turned it off, i apologized for it, and they said it was okay not to do it agian, so i just didnt use my mic at all after that, and than i got reported and i tried to explain, but NOPE they dont care.​

Hey Roxas, first I'd like to apologize for my delay on this appeal. I would have responded sooner but I was caught up with some personal matters as I just got back from vacation. Anyways, I hope you're having a nice day/night and not letting this ban affect you too much. When I first came on to the servers, many people had been saying that you were playing music through your mic, then I went ahead and looked over the report against you made by @BioHazard for mic spam and upon reviewing the demo and you admitting to it, I issued the ban. If you feel that this ban is unfair, please allow me to explain.

Originally, the punishment given would have only been a warning: but because you have many occurrences of this in the past, I decided to skip the usual protocol for this and go straight in with the 4 week gban. You have had 3 other mic spam bans as well as being gagged 29 times and being muted 15 prior to this, so this isn't a new problem with your behavior on the server. It comes to a point where it's so excessive that it would be treated harsher than normal, and given your history, you've passed that point.

Yes, I do understand that it may have been accidental but the issue with that here is if it was on purpose or not, this still happen and you were still blasting music through your mic. Imagine if someone was new and coming on to the server for their very first time, only to be greeted with the constant mic spam you bring. It would only discourage them from being on and most likely would lead to them leaving.

Bringing up a couple things:

You have to look at it from all viewpoints. *Keep in mind your mic was on for a full 2 minutes*

How I see this: You were caught mic spamming without staff online and while you say it was an accident and I am in no position to doubt that it was, it doesn't make it any better. May I mention that no where in the demo were you actually *speaking* before the music had played. I see that you're frustrated and may even still feel this ban is unfair, but I'm doing what I can to help prevent this from happening again and punish the rule that you broke of mic spamming. I can't just let it slide with a lesser punishment because of it being an accident.

How others on the servers see this: "Why is this guy playing music? I don't want to be hearing this, it's just bothering me." Some of what the players were saying about your mic spam.

They aren't exactly going to be happy to have something like this disturb them while they're simply just trying to enjoy the game. They're not interested as to why you're mic spamming or the context behind it, they would rather just have fun without the bother of your music.

How you view this: "Yes, i did mic spam, but it truly was accidental" I get that, things happen. But you have to accept the consequences that come with some mistakes like that. "i apologized for it, and they said it was okay not to do it agian" I'm going to guess by "they" you mean the server? If this is true, you still mic spammed, and it doesn't change that fact.

Comparing it to some other similar situation:

• Player A (Inno) accidently throws a frag, randomly damages 2 people: Still gets slain​
• Player A (Traitor) accidently forgets to warn for jihad, kills 3 t-buddies: Still gets 1 day ban​
• Player A is testing out binds, but is also accidently spamming: Still gets muted.​

I hope this all helps you see why you were banned and why I have chosen to deny your appeal. My suggestion is to just wait it out then become more cautious of your actions on the server. If you would like to discuss this more, you can speak to me by forum conversations. Thank you for understanding
