Got one the other day too off a drop, it caught me surprise lol. Traded it away for a knife and a few skins though!
Question; What exactly makes you drop such a stupid amount of money on a CS:GO skin? Seriously? Is just to make your epenises bigger or what? Because i see 0 logical reason to spend such money on something cosmetic, and in this case, ugly.
No carned, I didn't pay for anything. You get weapon drops after a game sometimes and I managed to get a drop that is $148 worth. Hopes that clears that up for you.
Oh i understand that, but it was more of a general question to the thread, I just chose to quote you. However, I'm sure you've bought skins in CS:GO and can give me a lil insight.
Yes the most I've bought is 10 dollars worth. I then invested into betting on professional matches and gained profit on those games. Others buy skins just for the looks and really just not much to it I guess I think thats the only reason lol.
I've never bought an item on CSGO, but some like putting money towards it like they do any hobby. I'm not going to spend $100 towards a cosmetic item, since to me it's not worth it. Some people like how skins look and they will. They'll buy nice knives and skins the way some people buy expensive shoes or similar items. The person who notices the skin most is whoever bought it. It's their own money to spend, people just have different interests. Like some putting money towards game servers to get ranks or some sort of donator status. Some even put money towards them monthly like to get ranks like VIP+. I know a bunch of people on these servers got VIP+ so they could buy the Gold AK in the store. It all depends on where people want to spend their own money.
I have never spent a single $ of my own money on CSGO items. All the cosmestics I own are either from drops or someone has given them to me. On a side note: Someone bought this for $150, but the steam tax thing gave me $130.
There's people out there who have spent money on the steam market. But once the money is on the market, it flows. Streamers get money for almost no reason, so they open cases; for more money. It's a loop. Streamers feed Gabe Newell's wallet. I think most money made in steam is from the market, just sayin. For me, I don't care that much about the game nor skins. It's a game.. Like a movie.... When you buy a movie, you don't buy color for it..(well I hope it doesn't work that way)
I usually buy incredibly cheap skins and put them in a trade up contract, some times I can get skins that cost 3$ for 50 cents
Unreal drop. And @Carned, I'm one of those people who has spent a decent amount of $$ on skins in CS:GO. A few hundred dollars over 2 years really hasn't affected my financial situation at all.
