Just to clarify, there is still a possibility of Ghosting on the Deathrun Servers. You're able to fly around if you're dead/spectating, allowing you to see where the Death is. A few Ghosting Rules: 1#: DO NOT reveal where the Death is 2#: DO NOT reveal whether or not Death has activated a certain trap 3#: There are traps where Death must choose a button among two or more (I.E Two or more different paths, one or two of them kills, one is safe) DO NOT reveal which button Death has pressed NOR if he pressed any at all because the Death can bait you More to come if needed... If any staff feel if this thread is unnecessary or if they wish to add, you are free to do so.
I would also say that a form of ghosting could be telling people who are alive the secrets in a map so the runners will 98% win.
About #3, a lot of people (myself included) like to confuse fellow alive Runners on which path to take. Not entirely sure what this entails, but there's that.
This concerns more on dead players notifying those who are alive which switch is chosen, unless we can somehow disable the dead/spectators from chatting with alive players, like the TTT Servers, then there is a Ghosting problem, despite attempting to confuse those alive.
On #3 what happens if you're playing on a map like starwars where you can fall into the holes and not die for about 3 -4 seconds, does it count as ghosting to say which color you went into and say it's not safe?
In deathrun, ghosting is basically telling alive players any information that can possibly alter the way they would play a map. Even if the information is wrong, it can still be considered ghosting. For instance, on the starwars map there are three doors that lead down into the next section of the map. If you're alive you can call out which door it is, that's fine. But if you call it out while you're dead it's ghosting.
Why the heck haven't we tagged @Scrubnoli @Mafia and @Supreme Overlord yet? Seems to be a very important issue.
If I'm death, and I'm setting one of those "choose the path" traps. I should be able to lie (or sneakily tell the truth) about the correct path to the runners through in game means. Just seems like more fun.
It isn't ghosting if you're death, since you're alive and its up to you how you play out your traps. What they're saying is that, as a dead runner, you can't leak out any details, true or false, about multiple choice traps.
