The main difference between Vanilla and Regular Servers

I ran an experiment on both East 2 and Vanilla and yielded some stunning results.

Seems to be that Vanilla players are more triggerhappy than others. Of course there are variables in the experiment including the player count and map size.

East 2: kills a T, IDs the body, walks off

Vanilla: Kills a T, gets shot at, "I'm proven you retard"

Also in East 2 you went by a lot of T-buddies and most of the innos didn't look your direction/notice. It's not like they were asking you if you got it from a T. Obviously this experiment needs more trials.

 

I have the exact opposite experience. People on nonvanilla servers know what they can get away with, and there's always that one person who will take advantage of that and shoot you for it (although I can usually get away with jihad baiting.)

The other night on vanilla, I took a knife off a dead T and proceeded to crawl around the map with it, walking slowly through groups of innos while facing the floor. Instead of shooting me, they helped me find my way into the boathouse and protected me for the rest of the round so I survived until the end.

 

At this current time, Vanilla has more bans than any other server. At this current time Vanilla has 514 bans that are not permanent, And most of those bans are for RDM and Leave. Now, This is just data... This could have an effect on your experiment. I wouldn't know though.

 

The main difference is vanilla has a metric crapton of bans that are super easy to deal with and the regular servers have way less bans but players who tend to be more difficult (loopholing)

 

Actually, Most of the bans for the global side of things is RDM and Leave/Mass RDM and leave. Ghosting and complex bans are all over the place, Not just on servers that are not normal servers.

 

Vanilla is a brotherhood, and don't you forget that. If you're a regular, you know you're set. If you're not, you know you'll be extensively banned in the future.

 

Vanilla is actually not as bad as what everyone makes it seem to be.

I'm gonna pick this apart:

In both cases, the first inno that saw you (that we could see) shot you
If I pull out a knife and hide on West, but pull out a knife on Vanilla in a crowded location, obviously I'm more likely to be killed on Vanilla. It doesn't necessarily mean they're trigger happy. On East, you pulled out the knife with only one person around you that just passed you, whereas on Vanilla, you pulled it out where at least 3 people saw you, and one person was looking directly at you when you pulled out the knife.
You pulled out the knife later in the round on Vanilla, almost 40 seconds later than on West. It's more likely for an inno to get a T wep later in the round

In an experiment, all constants must be the same, or very close. This is why they are called constants. In this case, the map, the location and the time, as well as the amount of people around you, must be replicated almost exact in order to get an accurate representation of the true experiment. Otherwise, it's not an experiment, rather, a biased cache of information that benefits nobody.

It's not really the bans that are complex, it's the reports themselves.

I would say because West 2 has downloads and that puts many people off going into the server as downloads can take FOREVER.
And in Vanilla, is more popular with randoms [ Meaning more trigger-happy people coming in and out, not knowing the rules] thus you get killed for the slightest reasons.
And thats just Vanilla for you folks.
