Serious TTT Vanilla Update and IP Change

    Vanilla has changed IP to vanilla.seriousttt.com (107.160.59.214). Please update your favorites.

    New Server Hardware!
    Serious TTT is proud to announce that we are upgrading our servers. Initially we are going to start with Vanilla and move on to the other servers as we observe the performance of the new server and feedback from the community.

    New Maps and Voting!
    Vanilla will be receiving 5 new maps and a brand new map voting system. This means that the VIP/VIP+ benefits for vote counts are going to be in effect.

    Once we see how vanilla performs, we will start upgrading the non-vanilla servers as well. In the meantime, please enjoy:

    New Map!
    We are adding Chaser v2 for you to enjoy on our non-vanilla servers.

    New Weapon!
    We are adding the FG42 light machine gun to the servers and it will be available in pointshop, map spawns and loadouts!

    Due to the recent updates in our hardware and hosting options, our costs have significantly increased. We are paying premium prices for the best performance for our players. At the same time, our donations have decreased. This is why we are implementing ads on the website to help cover some of those costs.

    I myself despise ads and have ran this community for as long as I could without implementing ads. But to make it the most pleasant for our loyal player base, you will NOT see any ads if you are logged in to the forums. Likewise, if you have your Steam account associated to a forum account, you won't see any ads when you join the server. The loading screen and MOTD will automatically query your Steam ID and check if you have a forum account registered with us.

    And I won't at all mind the ads
    In fact I would put this website on the exception list on my Adblock just so the ads can appear on my computer if it means to help this community.

    Due to our restrictions with Vanilla and "No Downloads", we have opted to load the map images while in game. This is an unfortunate side effect of that.

    Could we up the magazine size to 25 or 30 on the FG?

    It is a machine gun after all and 20 bullets is useless.

    EDIT - Also the Haven map has weird texture issues when looking at water

    Weren't MC Shaft and Nether taken out due to map problems? Otherwise, sweet jesus! If only I didn't have class this morning!


    When I saw that ads were going to be put up, I was skeptical cause I hate the living hell out of Pinion and that kind of shit, but the ads on the forums and on the MOTD is discrete and well placed, I hope there won't be animated ads :p.

    I'm assuming it's not just me that has horrible fps issues on the Frozen Ship map. I get 200-300 on most maps and I'm struggling to get 50-60 on this one.

    Other than that. Awesome update!
