I understand that the knife is a T weapon. However, if you get the secret knife, AND DONT TAKE IT OUT AT ANY POINT, you should never be liable to be shot and killed, especially if the secret knife is IN the map and there is no teleport. Having the Knife and not brandishing it is not and should not be traitorous.
There is no way to distinguish if it's the Secret knife or a normal knife so this is a stupid suggestion.
Not so much "stupid" really. Just don't tell anyone if you're holding it in your inventory. If you decide to announce "Hey I've got a T weapon off of a T body " that's just giving another player full reign to blast your brains out. Keep it a secret, that's why it's called the secret Knife. EDIT: Although you should be swift in getting out of the area that the secret knife teleports you to anyway, since people would kill you for 2 reasons at that point. 1 being teleporting suddenly into that area, and 2 for brandishing a knife on your person.
There is no way to discern between the normal knife and the secret knife. If we had this rule in place, traitors could simply say "I have the secret knife" and get away with it unless it's on a map without a secret knife and a player knows that.

essentially what i a saying is that people will use the rule as it currently stands to RDM someone even if they are completely inno, and are not doing anything. this happened several times this morning and it infuriated the entire server. There needs to be some allowence in the rule to punish the people who exploit the rules to rdm within them. When a t dies and people pick up a weapon, no one goes and shoots them because of it. Its ridiculous to even concider. If they have it out, however, that is obviously fine.
As Event said, because there is no way to tell the difference, a traitor could simply state that they have the secret knife if the music starts up. Just don't mention that you have the secret knife. If you equip it, you'll prpbab get shot, because you committed a traitorous act; having a knife. As far as people picking up a dead traitors weapon, it's a traitorous act. However, you must be absolutely certain that whomever picked it up is the person that actually picked it up. So, if a group of people are around a weapon and it disappears, you can't kill all of them. Single person picking up a single weapon is the only way to be sure if a person has a traitor weapon without them brandishing it or admitting to having it.
