Hear me out guys. There are innocent Terrorists, they go about normally blowing shit up and whatnot. The Detectives are just corrupt cops with extra guns and equipment. The traitors broke into the detectives office to grab supplies. The Traitors knowing they were outnumbered use stealth to take out the corrupt cops and "innocent" terrorists. Does this mean that the traitors are truly evil? or are they just misunderstood?
A counter-terrorist task force gets intel that says a group of terrorists are going to a certain area (the map) to cause all sorts of terrorism. They bribe some of the terrorists with beautiful women and hard alcohol in exchange for these "traitors" wiping out the entire terrorist unit without getting caught. The terrorists aren't stupid though, so they spend what's left over from their tight terrorism budget to deck out some of their own guys with equipment that will help them weed out any potential traitors.
IF I steal a gun from a person I know will kill innocent people with it... That makes me good, If I then use that gun to kill the bad guy that should make me good. But TTT has a different POW then ours. Their point of view is that Murica sucks... and that they are innocent people with guns... The traitors are the american spies that get inside the terrorist towns. So... In theory, The traitors are good, unless you're a terrorist... Then you can believe what ever the fuck you want....

I thought it was generally understood that the Traitors where the good guys... It's a pretty easy concept, the "innocent" terrorists are not actually innocent, they are only innocent in their mind since they are terrorists and believe in their cause. The Detectives are simply terrorists with more gear supplied by their HQ. The Traitors are people who want to kill the terrorists before they hurt others. And they aren't corrupt cops or anything, Serious TTT just has a cool model for detectives. Unless the map changes your models (Like the White House which makes everyone SWAT) we can assume that the Innocent are actually the bad guys.
WARNING: One issue with this theory of Traitors being good guys though.... Jihads.... A Jihad an Islamic term referring to a religious duty of Muslims. In Arabic, the word jihād is a noun meaning "struggle" or "resisting". A person engaged in jihad is called a mujahid, the plural of which is mujahideen. The word jihad appears frequently in the Quran, often in the idiomatic expression "striving in the way of God (al-jihad fi sabil Allah)". (Wikipedia FTW) So this presents 3 issues: 1: Only extremists would interpert this as a reason to kill innocent people or even unbelievers. 2: Only Traitors have Jihad Bombs 3: Most Muslim people shun and hate the extremists and some have called them (after translating what they truly said into english) traitors to the cause/religion Put this, plus the fact that most Americans label all Muslim people as Terrorists (because we do love that word apparently) then *!BOOM!* You realize that Traitors are the TRUE Terrorists and we just play as a bunch of Muslim people, with innocents being innocents, detectives being police, and Traitors being Traitors!

Many people think they haven't done anything wrong, however don't let them board a plain or you will see their true identity. Seconly, there are the detectives. They might cosplay in police uniforms but do not be fooled by their looks! They govern their own set of rules and have the latest high-tech equipment to battle terror. They also have an advanced degree in Genetics, being able to quickly ascertain the dna of the culprit. Be wary for the guys in blue as they can shoot you without saying a word. As rogue former fbi/cia operatives they have betrayed their country and they too are now sentences to an unsure life trapped in a virtual world. You can prevent this cruel faith yourself by wearing a tinfoil hat. And as last, we have the much debated traitors I have seen many theories as to the true reasoning behind the traitor, yet though some theories got close, nobody actually got the entire idea behind them. Traitors are an unique handpicked group of elite warriors send to the virtualworld to combat terrorists and rogue detectives. During their life they have had extensive training with special weapons which they can equip themselves with in the game. However due to the high-stress working enviroment and the frustration of death some traitors were driven to the wrong side, and they became evil themselves. To prevent this they received an unique measure of last resorts : The jihadbomb. To die as a hero and take as many foes with them when they feel like they have no more choice. Though cruel, this has prevented the traitors from becomming ever more violent. I hope this has explained some of the more intricate parts of the TTT Gameplay. I think the Jihad in that sense just means its a suicide bomb. After all on the official website it calls the innocents the "So Called Innocent" and the detectives have gear from Terror HQ or something like that.
