Why you should be unbanned:

Basically, a guy hits me with a barrel. I kill him. He reports me, I say he hit me with a barrel in the response. I get all the way to dying in the next round and I'm not slain or anything so I leave, because I'm bored. I get on the next day and I'm banned. I finally find out why, it's for RDM and leave. Popstar is the one that's going to be handling this I believe so he has all his previous chatlogs, but he seems to like to let my messages sit so I'm going to post it on an open forum now. Here's a screenshot of another moderator telling me he can't slay someone because it's word vs word. Unid'd's don't show up in the logs, and neither does attempted propkilling. Both are word vs word. By the time somebody reads this my ban will already be over but I'd like to see it cleared from the record, so in the unlikely event I do RDM and leave I'll serve the ban for my first true incident.​

Let's finally bring us to a mutual understanding if possible, and if not then I can at least lay everything I've got on the table in hopes of finalizing this case.

Here is how our report system works. We take exactly what you say and what you put in the report manager to handle your case. We have a sort of "whatever you say, can, and will be used against you" system. If you say they t-baited you, we check the shoot logs and attempt to verify if they shot at all & when. If you say they had a T-weapon, then we check if any of the mentioned T-weapons were bought at all that round (if they were, then we would dismiss the case as true). If you say they damaged you, we check the damage-logs, and if there is nothing in those the damage logs that proves your claim then we would issue adequate punishment. I would also like to note that not all prop-damage shows up in the logs, and I apologize for that inconvenience.

Now let me explain why we do this. If we allow a player to change their statement after we've provided information that would allow them to change their alibi, then it would not be fair to anyone who follows our !motd modestly. Of course, we are careful about what we say to players in avoiding this scenario. We clarify and verify what players mean all the time. However, when a claim (i.e He shot at me) is made for the first time, that is exactly what we look for.

You claimed a player prop-damaged you, but there were no logs to prove that claim, therefore a slay was issued. However, if you had said "he threw a prop at me" then the case would have been false and no slay would have been Issued.. As staff, we are not allowed to assume for the players. It would be accidentally bias towards a specific party if we did so. Therefore, we stay as neutral and focused as possible. Now you might be thinking, "that's stupid, that system could easily be abused if you could just make such a general unproveable claim." Well, you would be correct to think so. However, we also have a method against people that abuse this laxness that we offer. If there is a trend of reports against the player with responses that average between "he walked past an un-id" & "There was a verbal KOS, and I don't know who called it" then we would take counter-measures by asking our Admins how they feel we should advance.

I would also like to assure you that we put time into the reports that come our way. We do not have a bias nor do we have favorites when it comes to reports. However, it also doesn't mean that we're so strict that we're nonnegotiable. We just have to be fair as we can be. I hope you can understand why you were slain (and then unfortunately banned shortly after) in this scenario. We are on the players side.

I'm not sure if you know this POP STAR, but small amounts of Prop Damadge do not show up in the logs sometimes. It's kinda a glitch. So this player could have been prop damadge but it didn't show in the logs. Just thought I'd bring that up.

Oh. My bad, as my brain must have forgotten that part. As you said in your post, we try to resolve things for the best interests of our players, and I was just trying to point out something that I missed while reading threw that wonderful post. I hope no hard feelings were given!
