Breaking the t tester is a KOS action. But many claim destroying it before the roles are distributed, is ok. I believe they should still be shot for doing this as soon as they are vulnerable, and here is why: 1. If breaking the t tester is a traitorous act, then why should you be allowed to break it before the game begins and not be punished? 2. If you bought a traitor role before the round began, you would obviously use this loophole to break the tester and not be punished for it, effectively commiting a traitorous act, and give yourself an unfair, albeit slight, advantage by doing that. Therefore, I would like clarification on this matter with the consideration for what I have described in your judgement of whether or not a T tester destroyer, regardless of preparing or active game status, should be killed on sight.
If you destroy the tester pre-round, you cannot be killed for it. You are being a troll yes, however you may not kill them as they did not know what role they would assume when the round started. And even if they bought it, you have no way to prove who bought T.
Traitorous acts only apply when the round has officially started. As for destroying the tester pre-round, there isn't much we can do about that. It would be nice if we could somehow implement a fix that removes the ability to destroy the tester in pre-round.
You know how its impossible to throw grenades pre round? You could do the same for guns and crowbar. Refuse them being shot and used.
Maybe @Highwon could look into making the tester respawn on round start and getting the map to start fresh. I'm not sure if it's possible; just a thought.
...Are you kidding me? The Innocents already have an outrageous advantage most of the time anyhow, highly outnumbering traitors for the most part. If they're the ones that don't pay attention and aren't alert, of course they'll die first. But I'm getting off-topic now, this would be like adding in the whole "If you KOS pre-round you can follow through with it and then the KOSer will be slain next round." At least that's how I view it, which would prevent the constant spam of it, true, but it's always humorous to see other players KOS random individuals throughout the 10-20 seconds before the round begins. Or if Player A decides to shoot around/into Player B before the round starts and then they promptly finish doing so before the round initiates, and then Player B proceeds to light up Player A like a fucking Christmas Tree on the Fourth of July. I don't see how this would make any of the game better, only worse and more innocent-friendly. Meaning it makes it easier for the innocent players. tl;dr, How about no. It's pre-round for a reason and inno's outnumber T's as much as it is.
Destroying the tester pre-round is not punishable. Most things said or done during pre-round is void when the round actually starts.
Yeah, -1. Pre round acts can be annoying, but they can't and shouldn't be punishable; it's too strict and more often than not leads to red text on my damage logs >.<
Let me make a comment here: Most players are innocent. Most of the innocent players don't want to test. Not to mention the tester is very slow, and the jihads around the tester are common. So what does it matter if the tester is broken? Its not like it really helps on maps like 67thway. -1
