    What time periods are needed to be filled? I have been debating on coming back seeing as how I no longer have to keep as close of an eye on my nephew as I previously had to do. We got a playpen for him and it keeps him in one general area.

    The problem is Speeding up the process means people have to be picked and trialed faster. The issue is double sided. It takes time to evaluate a persons post then to evaluate their mod work. The other side of the issue is people posting not very well crafted applications.

    I'm going to disagree on this due to the fact there are good mods.. Perhaps good mods named "MangoTango" , "Tollybear", "urisk1" , and "Guilty-Crown" they were/are all great mods. They can staff very well, they are so good at staffing but can't staff 24/7

    Quality>Quantity is true

    Quantity Times Total Hours Can Play = more time... Less mods (we know everyone can't play forever) Less mods = less time. Less time still is less time. Now we need to ask;
    Is he/she worth the time to train? Is she/he doing their job correctly? A staff member not doing their job correctly can lead into into a ton of corruption and tons of time lost.

    Therefore Quantity matters but quality can matter too. All depends on the side. Most people chose correctly so Quality<Quantity.

    tbh I could mod any time in a school year. In summer break I can't due to my job.

    Or you can not make it complicated and know that the majority of admins would prefer a small amount of really good mods, rather than a large amount of average/bad mods.

    Just be quite about it and let the Admins do their jobs that they're entrusted to. We don't need every other person complain about the way shit is done around here because it just puts even more stress on the staff team despite, ya know, actually having responsibilites to do outside of this community.

    That's up to the admin. They pick the mod.

    Keyword here is "reputable." I understand you want more mods but we first have to make sure that they are reputable, reliable, experienced, and mature players. You wouldn't want immature or inexperienced mods who could falsely slay or ban players. We look for players and applicants that meet this criteria before we promote them to trial mods by playing with the player, hearing about the player from other staff members, and looking at their reputation and activity(all which takes some time). Sometimes, decent applicants have problems we ask them to work on(takes more time) and depending on if they take our advice, we promote them to trial mod(+ time), a phase they may or may not pass(usually, the more of the criteria they meet, the more likely they are to be pass this phase so that's why we tend to focus our time on finding applicants who will pass the trial phase with flying colors).

    And that's why it takes a while.

    tl;dr The process takes some time and speeding up the process would be sloppy, a slight unprofessional, could possibly lead to a waste of time(which is what you don't want), and could have consequences that affect the community.

    At a certain point i agree with all u guys but the admins are more right they wouldnt want a mod thats irresponsible, abusive anything like that

    An admin that picks a handful of mediocre applicants in big amounts just to fill slots is not the best admin around.

    Yes, that's why the admin picks a good mod.

    I guess some admins pick good mods.

  17. I couldn't disagree more. More mods would be nice, but as others have said, they need to take the time to find mods that are responsible enough for the job. There's a couple of mods currently that I feel should be removed of their position, actually. So if anything I think they need to weed out a few bad eggs before considering getting more mods. But yes, I wish there was a way we could have more mods on (good ones), particularly at night.
